watching the big sections of thorny branches on the road transfer into your tyre, spend the next minute praying the thorn hasn't gone through to the inner tube and trying to decide whether you should pull it out or leave it in thwacking against the frame / fork while the tyre is still holding pressure

was out at about 9.30 last night and saw a red light through the trees at the end of my sisters garden just thought it was a light at the local industrial estate, about 11pm she texted me to say the northern lights were out so popped out to have another look ... nothing. then about midnight my portable radio started to cut out so thought i might pop out again, saw vivid reds and streaks through the sky. was pretty impressive and the first time i have definitely seen the northern lights. glad to have ticked it off the bucket list.

maybe klopp wants a break from the day in day out relentless slog of managership. the role he's doing is as an advisor to the red bull group. less pressure, more time with the wife and kid(s) with a get out clause should the germany managers role become available. i'm guessing he'll be back at one of the top top clubs in a few years once he's had a bit of a break

definately not. they grow in big clumps while these 2 were out on their own as a pair. honey fungus much more yellowy.

the parasoles identified last year had a more pointed cap. could these be warted amanita they are said to look quite like parasoles but with a more pronounced lump / wart ?

also no snakeskin effect on the stem which the ones i photographed last year had.

also found these two which was a pleasant surprise.

pretty sure these were identified last year, when i posted some pictures of something very similar looking, by someone here as edible. shaggy parasoles or just plain parasole mushroom. could someone just confirm so i can rustle up some mushrooms on toast for tea tonight
