aren't there lots of stories about many bottled waters just being tap water, i don't know how much is true and whether there are further treatments done to the tap water before it gets bottled ?
chose your bottled water carefully otherwise you are just forking out needless money to some multinational for the stuff that comes out of your tap. -
Read on Facebook last week the sad news that Phil Dodman, forum name Picard has passed away from cancer. He was an active member of the forum back in the day and was a regular on forum rides and at forum events before he moved back to Nottingham. He was always a fun and entertaining person to chat to and he'll be sadly missed by many of us here on LFGSS.
RIP Phil.

maybe gme are trying to transfer themselves from meme stock to proper company. the funds being raised, $2bn in cash now, plus the funds from a new 75mn share sale might put them in a position to make acquisitions to grow the company. ryan cohen has a record with chewy for developing a good solid business. computer games are not going away and is a valuable sector of the economy. maybe as the youtube cast said yesterday it's a long term investment with the possibility of some short term fireworks. i saw a graph yesterday saying there are more short positions now than during the 2021 run up. the options ramp in the next few weeks look quite interesting but the 75mn share sale might dampen that.

andyp in reply to @Lebowski
I'm looking to invest in the next Nvidia...
do tell, my £80 profit on gme disappeared down the plug hole today !
-
with dark pools and otc trading and numerous different exchanges for trading stocks it seems like any investment these days is a bit of degenerate gamble, well maybe except nvidia cause everybody loves nvidia !
your research might be right but the groups of market makers and hedge funds working together can push the stock up or down on their whim
i took three years for the hedge funds and dark pools to gradually push gme down to $10 and it's regained that in 3 weeks
i very very rarely watch any kind talking head type podcast or you tube channel but i'll be tuning in to roaring kitty's live stream today just to say i was there !

https://www.telegraph.co.uk/business/2024/06/21/hinduja-family-britain-richest-family-jail-sentence/
Four members of Britain’s richest family have been handed prison sentences for exploiting their servants after they spent more on their pet dog than one of their employees.
A Swiss criminal court found Prakash Hinduja and his wife, son and daughter-in-law guilty of exploiting workers and providing unauthorised employment, but rejected more serious charges of human trafficking.
The defendants were each sentenced to between four and four and a half years in prison. Lawyers said they would appeal.
