ffub Okay I'm kind of baffled by the whole matching up bottom brackets to cranks. I'm thinking of getting the Stronglights Roberto is selling for a pub bike. What bottom bracket am I after? Square tapered I gather but for a 42mm chainline do I want 103mm, 107mm?

i've got some risers, but they're packed away at the moment. once i get them out again, i'll take a photo and you can see if they work for you.

if you have a threaded fork, there are adapters that are available to go between quill and threadless. so perhaps that's your best bet?

as for the cost of the first fixie, don't worry about it. it's your cash and you can do with it what you like.
