You don't need the phone screen on to record a walk. I use RWGPS and it can sit silently in a pocket. It'll sync automatically to Strava or Garmin or whatever too. When you take pictures with the phone you can geotag them too
Seems a bit pointless buying another bit of electronics if what you have will work. On the other hand, having some redundancy if you're roughing it and/or need more battery life, waterproof kit, etc, then an etrex will do what you want.

If the legal folk here conclude the same as I did, that we'd be in the zone of having to implement age verification, scanning of file attachments, scanning of DMs, new reporting tools
I'm not sure I want to be part of a place IRL or on the internet that has been bent over by the government this hard. It's a bike forum. On one hand I want it to continue but on the other hand I'd rather torch everything, flip the censors the bird and move my communication ever further underground.
Can you imagine how long it will take me to pick a crankset when I have to encode specifications of it in microfilm to fly on carrier pigeons to some groupset oracle living in a cave in France...

Thanks to @spinnnout for the well dodgy Richmond Park definitely not a drug deal officer I'm just tightening up this crank meetup
Not actually put any force through it but it shifts like it's meant to which is a good start.

I've already ordered one, but it's not going to arrive until Tuesday. I was hoping one of the London shops might have one in their workshops but Sunday's not a great day to be trying to find a functional workshop with random crank tool.
Balfes don't answer, Sigma Sport just on some recorded message loop, Condor closed.

Because they're designed to have one
This is what I don't get - why build a thing that needs a spacer? I assumed the spacers were for silly crank variations, not Shimano cranks in Shimano BBs (but then I thought well hangon, now we have Boost and a bunch of other new shit even within the Shimano BB world, so I've no fucking idea.)

It's factory grease that I just boshed the crank through to see if it fit.
Why would a spacer be required on a stock 73mm install, is it coz these are newer cranks in an older BB? Looks to be about 50mm on each side of BB but cranks aren't installed coz I don't have tool to tighten DM chainring.
I've got older style M6000 2x cranks too. I could try them. Do they also need a spacer?

Ah, fab, looks like another Garmin update has bricked my 1040 again.
Nope, the cunt's woken up after a hard restart. Garmin software engineers are shite.
