A rather chirpy rider on a colourful bike at the end of Deptford High Street (I was on a black Holdsworth and me missus was on a claret conversion).

I'd like to claim that was me, as I was at the end of Deptford High Street earlier, but I was more hungover and grouchy than chirpy.

I have failed on the facial hair front... it was pissing me off and so when I awoke (still drunk) this morning I shaved it. Now it feels naked but so much nicer. Oh well.

I'm not really on board with the tweed/old-fashioned link. I went through TK Maxx yesterday (I wasn't actually shopping there, I was just walking through to get to, er, somewhere more ethical than Sainsburys in Lewisham Shopping Centre) and it was full of punk-rock tweed jackets for teenagers made by brands like 'miss apathetic loveheart gothface'.

Consequently I will be turning up on Saturday wearing some neon pink tweed hotpants, a Cyberdog tweed jacket with multicoloured LEDs and a tweed snood.
