The inevitable spiralling costs of a project that should’ve been cheap has left me with the following shopping list if anyone can help.

Rigid v brake/canti fork, 1 1/8” threadless, at least 15cm of steerer, 400mm atc or thereabouts. The more mounts the better.

Rim brake rear wheel or wheelset. 8+ speed.l freehub.

Any ideas what’s going on here? 90s MTB fork steerer that’s 28.6mm the whole way down with no crown race seat.

Didn’t need this at all but it was cheap and I spied a Columbus sticker on one of the grainy listing photos. Stoked to spend 5 times as much as I paid for it on new parts.

Columbus Minimal usually looks good on trad steel. Or a Wound Up if you can find one?

Sorry I failed to update you on the Kinesis fork. I reckon it’ll do 32mm. I don’t have a tyre to check but I found these pics with a 28mm gravelking that probably blows up bigger than that and there’s a fair bit of room. I’ll drop it out the frame this week if you’re interested. £40 posted btw.

I have a Kinesis DC07. It’s on the pictured bike at the moment but I actually have a bougie upgrade I haven’t bothered fitting yet. 28s and guards is doable with the right combination of tyre/rim/guards. Plenty of steerer left, I think. I can measure properly tomorrow and take some pics of the condition if you’re interested.

I prematurely closed the old thread for this so starting again. It turns out that this pump is not only too large for my frame, but also the frames of everyone who has expressed an interest in buying it! Silca say this will fit in a gap of 54cm-59cm, though 55cm to a bit more than 58cm is more like it IMO. The pump is in excellent used condition.

I spied a drop bar, road fixed rider fast spinning back toward town on the railway path somewhere around Fishponds this afternoon. Looked a nice setup!

First ride of any length on this today since I converted it to road mode. A bit rattly but then it’s a 45 year old track bike on 24mm tyres with a load of crap strapped to it and, actually, comfort levels weren’t too bad, especially with the forum-approved 6770 levers to hold onto.

I’m selling these carbon drops cos I’ve got a bunch of quill-stemmed bikes and I’ll be after something narrower when the time comes for me to rejoin the 21st century. These are the Pro Isocore VR-CF with the vibration dampening pads all intact. There’s some tape residue and evidence of clamping but they’re basically in good condition. Dimensions pictured below. £70 posted, £65 collected in Bristol.

Amazing pump but too big for all but one of my bikes. This is the large and will fit a gap between 54cm and 59cm. It is in very good condition. I don’t really want to post it so £70 collected in Bristol. I’ll reconsider postage in a week if no bites locally. Alternatively, I’d be very keen to swap it for the same pump in a medium.

For some reason I have two drop-bar fixie projects on the go at the minute. This one needs a longer chain so I can fit wider tyres but otherwise I’m super happy with it.

A long shot but does anyone want to swap my large Silca Impero for their medium? Mine is 59cm uncompressed and too long for all but one of my bikes.
