Thanks guys, just got back from a 40mile spin with my Mum (ebike convert, never done any exercise in my memory. Now rides regularly, not bad for a large 60 year old). The bike rides so well, only had it 7 months but it’s a keeper.

A few updates like mudflaps, Phil bb, new chainset.

Depends on how you fit them and what attachments you use. I had to drill mine and file down stand offs. But if you’re just using normal fixings it shouldn’t be any harder.

I would recommend Berthoud. Not a retro mtb but you get the idea. I now also have matching mudflaps! They do up to 60mm, mine are 50.

I had velo orange on a rando bike and they cracked in about 8months.

I have a black rain fork, full carbon steerer. Meets what you need depending on steerer. I think its 22cm iirc.

I found the Paddington express on fixed a bit of a pain. It’s all flat so you can’t change seatings and rest your arse out the saddle up hills. Also when you’re in London it’s a lot of stop and starting at lights.

Top tip, don’t leave your bike rested against a pillar that has a square base at Paddington. It is liable to dent your 2 month old custom frame and you have to cry the 200k back to Bristol.

They’re bar end shifters. You can use the internals and mod the 7900 Downtube levers to be 11 speed though.

Looking good. Your bars could do with rotating up a little if you’re going for a horizontal drop? I’ve got spa cranks on my roberts, they’re silly good for the price.

If I was planning on a respray I’d rub down the area and clear coat it. I’d never leave rust on a tin walled frame

I saw that on eBay but you don’t get the saddle, chainring, cranks or pedals. That’s most of the pricy items on the bike.

I had two tubilto inner tubes over the years as spares. Both failed at some point and had leaks when I went to use them. I’d you’re keeping them in a bag I wouldn’t keep them loose.

If the crown race is flush and you can’t fit a screwdriver or the park tool use a Stanley blade. Carefully place it at the base of the crow race and tap it in, working around. Obviously don’t cause damage to the fork.
