Have you used one? I had a combi grill/oven/microwave and while it was an awesome microwave I only used the grill once and the oven twice.
The shiny inside plus the microwave turntable gubbins meant it was a tedious cleaning job after grilling anything.
Will be a straight microwave in the new kitchen. -
they look good though my head hurts when I try and think what they offer over other wireless set-ups?
we have a long open hallway off the lounge with the switch down the wrong end and not near the door when you enter the living area just a switch to lounge and diner pendants.
we didn’t want to pay the high cost to make this switch a triple hall/lounge/dining one as that would involve lots of concrete chasing, am i right in thinking one of these switches placed over the lounge/dining switch which is in our hallway would then operate the hallway lights? As it is we have an ikea dirigera thing and a remote left on the coffee table or for middle class dinner parties mood lighting we use the app but Quinetic could have been an option if I had known about it at the time.

Was about to but the light seems to have woken up, two quick presses of the button to turn on but then it goes off soon after so presume the battery is near empty but a long press and release which should make it go into program mode doesn’t work. the charger was showing green along with the light which is obviously not correct but now it’s red (charger) flashing green (light) so will give it a full charge and test it.
It wasn’t charging before??
could do with a new battery either way as it’s quite old as the mk7 is from 2016.Edit: yes it’s not well, will only come on for a few seconds so off it goes.

Anyone with a tired Vaillant boiler I can recommend getting on their maintenance/service contract at about £30 month. We inherited a neglected 10 year old boiler that had a tide mark inside from a major undetected leak that fried the main board.
Plumber/engineer suggested trying to get Vaillant to take it on as him doing one repair for a diverter valve would cost as much as a years contract.
So now we have almost a new boiler, last outage meant 11 parts changed which were likely at the limit for what they will replace before condemning the boiler. If this happens they give you £700 off fitting a new one, we were nice to the engineer and explained we just needed to get another year out of it so he was determined to fix it.
The annual service was 2 weeks later and I noticed the pressure had crept up, turns out it needed a new pressure vessel along with a few valves.
With the new pump and all the other bits done previously there’s probably only the heat exchanger that’s original.
Don’t think they have made any money on this one. -

Have a Denon TU260L II digital tuner for sale, it’s been on a shelf in my late fathers workroom but has never been plugged in, not sure why he bought it as he dabbled in short wave radio and had a lot of expensive kit but had no interest in FM or music. plugged it in and all the dials and buttons work and it locks on to signals without an antenna (i am right next to a radio transmitter)
fascia is clean and unmolested, any marks are just dust. there are some light marks on the top including a visible one at the back rear right.
these were the go-to separates tuner to go with your NAD, pioneer or Arcam amp.
(thought there was a Pioneer a300 amp but couldn’t find that)
£20 collected in SE19, slight chance of Brompton delivery by hand if you are not far away. -

You need to look up your councils permitted hours for noisy building work, it’s usually 8-6 weekdays and Saturdays until 1. Then find out the department that deals with complaints, it will differ between councils.
We did this when living in Wandsworth, it’s a statutory nuisance and they will get a visit from the council. Using a floor sander 10:30pm Sunday night was the trigger for us to put a stop to it. -
Back on the edge of the marsh for a short pre pub walk and quite a bounty of the usual suspects plus Redwing, kingfisher, dunnock, firecrest along with a decent sized flock of lapwing and as I type this a couple of angry rooks dealing with a large raptor. Didn’t get a good enough look to identify but it was either a harrier or buzzard.
Update: some long legged white thing that’s not a heron and a hawfinch
Edit: and now a stonechat. This is my biggest haul in 20min stop and listen to date. -

@chopsicle have you ever done much with Alpha? I love the stuff as does my partner, she uses a specialized hooded top for travelling (non-bike) and I have both rapha and 7mesh jersey/jacket which offer incredible warmth for the weight.
sometimes use the 7-mesh as an insulation layer for non bike outdoors and it’s warmer than any bulky pile fleece i have. -

With who?
I have been in Pete Tong’s kitchen a long time ago, had to be told who he was at the time though (90’s)
Zero interest in people who put one record on after another to appease a doe-eyed audience thinking the smell of each others sweat and tinnitus is cool.Edit: never wear hats indoors either, unless the boiler is broken.

At my old flat (one of 14) we had the pavement outside dug up multiple times as Thames water insisted there was a leak around the various jumble of stop cocks and meters. They kept hearing a leak and then insisted it was on our side and if it wasn’t fixed they would fix it by removing the concrete steps down to the property and bill us, except for some reason they were going to bill me for the whole amount???
Nothing happened until a sink hole appeared in the road the size of a Mini (old not new).
The new water main had been leaking and washed away the road foundation the resulting hole was 6 foot deep, they filled it with concrete and I never did get a bill. -

Mine was a Bosch like that but shiny inside, was a nightmare trying to clean behind the grill element
