Selling an almost complete (minus hubs/chain/cassette/BB) 105 groupset from my old cannondale.
I’ll be the first to admit these parts have definitely lived a life and aren’t gonna win any best in show awards, but are still fairly lightweight and work great considering their age!
Things to note:
Both shifter levers are pretty scuffed and have tarnished a fair bit, I wet and dried back the worst.
Chainrings are pretty worn (but totally rideable).
FD is a clamp on 31.8
These are for the Octalink V1 system
perfect for a pub bike so I reckon £40 with postage sounds about right-let me know if I’m well out though! Can send more pics if people want.

I’m looking for a steel frame in a 56/57/58 size.
It’s not actually for me, but for my much more selective partner. She’s been looking at Holdsworth Mistrals and seems pretty set on something along those lines.
Ideally with braze ons for a rack and mudguards, in 531 or equivalent would be good too.
“If it’s yellow that’s even better” her words not mine.If anyones got something that fits this description let me know.
Thanks!

The time has come to say goodbye to my trusty steamroller. I've owned it from new. Its the 58cm size in 'meth teeth green'.
The frame has been ridden daily, so it does have its share of scrapes, and a few surface rust spots - my LBS checked it over and said there's nothing structural going on.
There is a tiny, and I mean tiny ding in the top tube, I couldn't pick it up in the photos, but I'm putting it out there to be as honest as possible.
It has a pretty much brand new Cane Creek Forty headset, and I'll chuck in the Deda stem too.
I'm based in Oxford, could probably sort postage out if absolutely necessary.
£200 (+ postage if needs be)
Cheers!

I had a pretty nasty crash when my bike completely slipped from under me last night resulting in a dislocated shoulder, broken ribs and various cuts and grazes.
I was riding in a separated cycle lane which has a leaking drain cover that over time has created a weird slime/moss residue that’s really slippy. Is it worth chasing the council for some kind of pay out for damages or would it be the water company?
Im pretty pissed off as I’m now out of work for 6 weeks (I’m a bike courier) and money is already tight! -

Rode past this just after it happened earlier - Police, Ambulances and Fire all in attendance.
The Plain is a particularly horrible roundabout in Oxford with buses, cars, lorries and bikes all fighting for space on a narrow road.
Unfortunately the local trash paper linked above are notorious for bear baiting drivers and cyclists, so I expect there to be some horrid comments on the article.
Thoughts are with the rider

There’s a fair few people riding fixed in oxford (myself included) I’m always up for more bike related social stuff, you should pop into common ground on little Clarendon st, there’s always a few groups of riders in there and they’re always up for putting bike nights on! Anyway, hit me up if you ever have any ideas - maybe we could brainstorm some stuff

P&P are looking for two new full time cargo bike riders, Oxford living wage with an immediate start. I’ve been with them for a minute now and can thoroughly vouch for a solid team and all round wicked working environment!

I’ve got an old British track frame and having a weird issue with the bb, the threads in the shell are all clean and tidy, however when I put in a bb it seems to be loose (ie it moves in the shell) also when I put in the left hand side it’s pushing out the right!? I’ve tried a few different bbs and it’s the same each time.
Is the shell knackered/worn and if so is it worth retapping it to Italian threading, or should I risk my life using thread lock and crossed fingers??? -

Hi all,
Ive got a week off at the end of the month and planning a few days on the bike. I'm riding to London with a friend who's fairly new to 'touring' so it'll be her first proper ride with panniers etc. I've done this ride a load of times so thats the easy part.
The second day I'm heading up to Cambridge - a city I've never been to before in my life! - the route is pretty easy according to the sustrans site. The plan is to hang out in Cambridge for a day and then ride the 'Varsity Way' cycle route back to Oxford solo (I've done loads of touring so I'm not worried about milage on a loaded bike)
I'm looking for recommendations for places to stay in London & Cambridge that are bike friendly if anyones got any, and also any places/pubs I should visit along the way.
Thanks in advance!

I do, I didn’t list it as it’s a bit crunchy in hand turning it (although it felt fine on the bike previously) I can throw that in as well, or if people want separate bits let me know!
