Absolutely adore this from Jacob. Leave these lads in charge as long as possible.

1500-1600
...but I've been riding the normal amount which is quite a bit. Regardless of what the "extra" calorie burn is, I stick to the 1500 target. Def been hitting the wall on the bike sometimes and super lethargic today but I've been telling myself I dont need to "perform" in January just drop as much weight as possible.

Im certainly learning alot with this app aswell.
Finding some days that although I feel I'm eating very well, there isn't a whole lot in 1500 calories.
I did a hard 5 hour gravel ride on Sunday and took in a total of 2000 calories that day and still felt bad about going 500 over the intake target. I wish I could know, accurately, how much I'm burning.

Lock down was class for me.
It meant I had nothing else to do...so I chose bikes and being over the top about my diet. You'll remember when lock down first kicked in the weather was fabulous and I was out everyday putting in big miles...itll all came together. I fixed my head and my gut.
Now my issue, in regards to maintaining a fighting weight, is that I'm too happy to care about a few extra pounds. Thats why I failed on about 4 different occasions to turn it around last year.

Not a recipe really, just wanted to know how to prepare them and I went with boiling for 3 minutes then dry frying for like 7 mins before adding, prawns, peas, soy sauce and some avocado....I liked it.
I don't enjoy cooking, I just put stuff in my face. I often just eat mashed sweet potato and peas.

Jan 1st - 91.8kg
Jan 8th - 90kg(Target - 82kg)
Happy enough with that, couldn't have done any better, smashed this week. Might be in my mind but I think I can see a difference already and even if it is just in my mind, thats what matters.
Won't be having a cheat meal or day until at least a month in. Would probably spiral.
Well done folks!

Cant see any photos of the Rapha Explore packed in its stuff sack, which is weird, so not sure how small it packs. Maybe there is and ive missed it.
Just picked up a Rab Microlite Alpine (£170) with an eye on touring and it is silly warm for the size of it. Feels lovely, looks great. It does pack up small but not an insignificant size, worth it for the versatility, I reckon.

The bag, length ways, is rigid due to a tent being in there, I assume the straps had loosened off. Ive got the accessory pack for the front now, which has its own straps which can be fed over the bars for more support.
I'll have to mess about with it in the next wee while, maybe get back to ya. Cheers.

Start: 91.8kg
Week 1: 90kg
Week 2: 89.2kg
Initially, I was a wee bit disappointed at a 0.8kg loss for the week. Especially with the effort I've put in but it's all good, experience reminds me it's normal. No big jobby this morning.
Into a good rhythm now, not so jittery at the deficit but happy to up the calories on big training days. No rush :)
