Indeed, but without knowing the circumstances in depth personally, such as recognising a close loved ones bike ridden by a stranger, it’s only ever ‘possibly’.
I wonder if there are the equivalent to Good Samaritan statutes or precedent that might apply to a 3rd party that takes it upon themselves to secure a theft-prone, high-value object that is reasonably perceived as abandoned in an insecure environment. 🤔

Also first time hearing about a few of these brands, will look them up.
I’ve been taking better care of the skin on my hands since developing deep cracking around my knuckles from working on grimy bikes and cycling gloveless in the winter. It would take several days of soaking, brushing and scrubbing to clean them, which of course delayed healing, and wasn’t a good look.
I swapped nitrile glove brands from Aurora and Black Mamba to an accelerant-free brand that I can’t recall, and for the £8 more I paid per box of 100 I’m pleased with them. I also promised myself to stop scrimping and saving my PPE: it’s there to protect me, not the other way around! I do try to avoid trashing gloves but once my skin starts getting dirty it’s time to quickly clean and get a new glove.
For face, a bit of spf helps protect against summer rays and winter cold.

Are you holding the wheel or is it resting on something? If the latter, make sure the axle and bearing aren’t resting on anything, only the hub shell. Also check you’ve removed all the bits from the axle side you’re hitting.
If still no dice, add wd40 or a penetrating oil to the bearings, let sit, then hit.

Did Dr Bikes over the winter in London. Overcast, wet, miserably dark days, usually stationed in a wind tunnel, and so cold we’d take cardboard and carpeting to stand on, despite boots and double layer wool socks.
Working on metal in that weather is a challenge. It steals the heat right out of your fingers and hands, especially if you’re wearing thinner mechanic gloves. I think the coldest it got was -3C or thereabouts, and after 30-ish seconds in just double nitrile gloves I’d lose sensation in my fingertips to the point I couldn’t be sure I was actually turning a jagged barrel adjuster etc.
Really put into perspective what those boys in -30C Ukrainian cold are dealing with, especially the mechanics and tank crews.

Japanese crafting videos: what’s really going on there, business-wise? Are these smiths and quaint artisans really generating enough revenue to sustain themselves, monetised videos aside? Or are they filming their hobbies after their workday is finished? Or are they generally financially established homeowners who can afford the time and equipment to shave a single bamboo stick into hundreds of threads to make a bamboo briefcase?
Or could it be click farm productions “recreating” how something might’ve done traditionally, and editing it in a misleading way?

Ok so we’re misunderstanding each other continuously. Let’s resolve quickly to not bore everyone, yes?
Gotcha = Ah right, I understand now.
Explanatory paragraph = context for why I answered the curt way I did, which was more of an exhausted knee jerk/ seeing patterns where there isn’t one; no insinuation on you was made or intended.
Hope that clarifies it. 🤝
