They certainly haven’t gone too fast they should have been at Kyiv within a day.
Russian doctrine is to keep advancing, as the point units are worn down for one reason or another they are replaced by fresh units rather than resupplied.
150,000 troops was unlikely to be enough, you are supposed to have a 3:1 ratio to attack. Perhaps Putin just didn’t have enough well equipped loyal troops, perhaps he just got it badly wrong -

The Finns used to walk up to Russian tanks and lob a Molotov in the slit.
Tank units now have supporting Mechanised infantry to stop this, the pictures of Chernobyl had a BMP3 Infantry Fighting Vehicle with the tank.
Soviet nomanclature was Motor Rifle units.
There was also a BTR-80 Armoured Personal Carrier there which you wouldn’t expect to see at the point of an attack.
News pictures are showing a lot of MTLBs which in Soviet days were quite rare command or artillery vehicles and viewed as prime targets. Could be it’s just the same ones shown repeatedly. -

They have tactical and strategic nuclear weapons they don’t need some sort of dirty bomb except for propaganda.
Soviet theory saw no step between conventional and nuclear phases of war.
They had a theory called Axe theory, if you are in a bar and someone insults your wife you are going to insult his wife, he throws a punch you throw a punch, he hits you with a barstool you reply in kind, he hits you with an axe you hit him back with one if you still can.
If someone insults your wife hit him immediately with an axe, you are going to have to use ultimate force eventually use it straight away before you get hit with an axe.Maybe their moves at the moment show an increased subtlety

is he minimising civilian casualties whilst making as much noise as possible hence Chernobyl, the only place in Ukraine most people have heard of.
Counterintuitively pummelling built up areas makes them more difficult to fight through.
He isn’t short of tanks in theatre if he had one posing near Chernobyl with a BMP .
Not sure why he has taken Antonov airport as he knows Lithuania have given Ukraine Stinger missiles and you would have to be deranged to fly in troop transports. Russia may think they have learnt to counter Stinger since Afganistan.
Maybe recent Russian experience with Turkish UAVs has made them rethink shock tactics

It took me 1hr 7minutes to get my bill reduced to their advertised figure.
The way they work is a monthly fee if £67 discounted to £42 during the 18 month contract, as soon as you come out of contract it jumps up with no warning.
The conversation went something like “ I can do you a special rate of £49 Mr Dibble... how does that sound?” “Well not as good as the £39.99 I can see on your website” “ my manager has used his special discount and we can do £46, how does that sound?” “Well still not as good as the £39.99 I can see on your website” and so on for an hour. What’s the point of licensing the Virgin brand if you are going to use shit 1980’s sales tactics
