I'm dipping my toe in the water on a Specialised trispoke that is tubular - taking the original off to carry as a spare and fitting a new one with tape... we'll see how it goes.
I find tubeless tyres a pain in the neck anyway.

That will go well with the cheap Force/rival 1x11 shifters on planet X and the cheap Rival 1x chainsets on Triton cycles at the moment.

They have cheap rival and force cranks on there too, with different lengths - with 5 arms.
Force with carbon arms is about £120 if you don't mind 53t chainrings.
