I wholeheartedly agree with the above. The splinter cell as I shall refer to them as had definitely started to infiltrate this very exclusive group, where on first glance you should undeniably tell if membership shall be granted.
The bling needs to on an almost overwhelming level to where you are unsure you are looking at some deranged show bike or a catalogue of niche cnc’d bike parts thrown at a steel frame. Usefulness and ride-ability are not the forefront of the build process and everything is based on a very specific set of looks.
The separation of some of the applications can only be a good thing in bolstering our exclusivity.
To browse the early pages of this manifesto is to walk the shining marbled promenades of velotopia.

Any builds that were rejected from wanker hybrids for not meeting the criteria may apply here.
Have a nicely curated city bike but it’s lacking that cnc goodnes? Maybe your drive chain is worth more than the frame?
This is a bike you will lock up when popping into town but you definitely wouldn’t want to leave it for more than a few hours.
Someone with a trained eye and a decent knowledge of bikes can appreciate these builds, but your average passer by wouldn’t blink.
Vague criteria
~ 10/11 speed groupsets
~ Modernised 26” mtbs
~ Pleasing to those in the know
~ Bougie tyres
~ Disc or rim brake allowed
~ Mainly sticking to wide 700c or 26”
~ Favouring utility over bling, but not cheaping out either
~ Luggage is preferred -
If it’s just a fancy drive-chain and brooks with no other wanky bling I would argue it’s just a sub-wank then.
