The appropriately named Jet on Leyton High Road
-
I'm in Stratford at the moment and was looking basically everywhere North-East of here, so Leyton/Walthamstow/Leytonstone/Forest Gate and feel quite familiar with the area from cycling around and walking the dog.
We were keen on Forest Gate geographically and it has some lovely bits (Winchelsea Rd for example) but when we actually started looking at properties, I wouldn't say your money goes far enough there vs. Walthamstow, etc. to offset the trade-offs. It's just not quite there yet - Walthamstow, Leyton, Leystonstone are just nicer places to be.
-
CyclingTips did a pretty in-depth review recently and weren't particularly impressed.

I guess this probably the simplest answer. I don't ride on the trainer much, but had still noticed that my rear tire was wearing quicker than the front.
@chez_jay - I'm having to tighten the barrel adjuster, so that wouldn't work.
-
Recently set up a trainer tire on a spare wheel I had knocking around and the indexing is waaaaay out when I use it on either of my bikes.
With the SRAM mech on one bike, I have to wind the barrel adjuster in about 3 full turns to get it running smoothly. On my other bike, which I'd rather use on the turbo, I'm running an Ultegra R8000 RD that has a dodgy barrel adjuster where it's not really practical to have to adjust it more than a couple of clicks at a time (another problem for another day).
Is there a solution to this other than having to adjust the cable tension every time I put the bike on the trainer? My motivation to ride the turbo is lacking at the best of times, never mind if I need to faff around every time I want to swap wheels.

Thanks for the reply. No matter what I do with the B screw though, it doesn't help. If I wind it out, I get less tension on the chain and the problem gets worse (won't shift down from any gear). If I wind it in, I get to the point of mashing the jockey wheels into the cassette on upshift before it will shift back down.
Might just support a local business by taking it to a shop and making it their problem, before I pull all my hair out.

Having some SRAM 1x issues. Rival 1 RD, with an 11-42 cassette.
Shifting is fine, up and down, across the whole cassette, apart from changing out of the easiest gear into 2nd easiest. It's as though there's not enough tension to pull it back down. The B-screw is set as close as it can reasonably go without the jockey wheels hitting the cassette.
When running a chain that was too short by 1 link, shifting was fine but this gave rise to other issues...
Any ideas?

Yeah that's basically what I did this morning although didn't go as far as mentioning the ombudsperson. Funnily enough, I got an email from my solicitor (without all the partners on copy, mind) a couple of hours later. Have responded with more questions - we'll see how long it takes for a response this time.

I just think it has a bit of a way to go along the gentrification ladder than the other places mentioned, and I'm a wanker and want to have easy access to expensive coffee and even more expensive beer.
