I only know this in the context of rowing, but they came back into 'style' about 2 years ago there. 'Style' meaning American highschoolers wearing them semi-ironically for what they call 'free speed', and then everybody else imitating them. Personally, I can't stand the things, but hey... I'm just waiting for the top hat to come back.

Look I really really hope so, I am not at all saying there's any merit in pretty much any of the brexit positions, and of course definitely not in the 'no-deal if we must' stance. And I agree the whole situation is stuck.
But I am a bit concerned about how much support the whole idea of brexit still has despite everything that has happened, and I wouldn't put it past some new reincarnation of Vote Leave to drum up a surprising amount of support in case of a second ref. I'm not entirely sure it would be that much of a help in getting out of the rut...

My point is more that this is the 'anti' thread, you're just basically talking about bikes that aren't pron. If that's the point of this thread, a vast majority of bikes would belong in here, which would completely cover up the actually 'special' bikes - like this, which I still remember fondly:
https://www.instagram.com/jokfil_bike/
Now that's anti.
Plus it's a company doing it rather than just some guy putting together his bike in a maybe less-than-perfect way. Other than that, I'm currently having a hot chocolate, I hope that counts too :)

No worries, cheers - so out of interest, do you have the mudguard version then? Or are even the 'normal' ones wide enough?

Had some fuckhead in a Jeep crossing Putney High Street from Disraeli to Norroy on a red. Meaning, traffic on my road was at a standstill, I'm cycling down through, it's green for me, and this absolute shithead decides that as "nothing" is moving on Putney High Street anyway (and it's a boxed junction so sometimes cars actually keep that intersection free), he might as well nip across on a red. Nearly took me out, good thing my front brake grips properly.
I'm usually the last one to complain about jumping red lights, but this is exactly the type of situation when you should definitely not do it - minimal visibility, everything full of stuff, there could be a pedestrian or a cyclist or a scooter anywhere.

I understand where you're coming from. The Carhartt sticker is actually anti, yeah. I didn't think the rest was really noteworthy though. As much as this thread is obviously for making fun of bike 'designs' that just went terribly wrong, I'm not a fan of 'gatekeeping' subcultures etc. - but especially not over things like valves or brake cables that are 'too long'.
But maybe that's also just because I am definitely not a part of that subculture in any way, so I feel less annoyed be people clumsily copying it, and more annoyed by people making fun of other rider's builds.
