I think it'd also be pretty useful to point out more that 'lockdown' can mean all kinds of things. People are playing really fast and loose with the term in general, same as a majority of people seem to be unable to distinguish between 'quarantine', 'self-isolation', and 'social distancing'. The lockdown as imposed in the UK for example is pretty lenient compared to a lot of other countries in Europe (and I say that as someone who's definitely not been on the side of calling for stricter measures).

She's not talking about recovery rates, but deaths - or did I miss something?
The point being that an earlier lockdown would have prevented the kind of spread that happens at mass events such as the ones still going ahead, and therefore also the deaths resulting from that spread.

Yes. It was a display celebrating the NHS and Great Ormond Street Hospital, in the process of which they also used what is essentially the stock picture of what a virus under a microscope looks like. What exactly is your point?
