So...
For the front of our kiddyback tandem I need a rack;
I want to use our existing Thule basket so maybe just a simple surly rack would do..
But I’m questioning whether having the option to add panniers would be worthwhile, we will probably have some trips/touring on this bike so it makes sense, don’t really want to add rear panniers but maybe some small ones in years to come..
Any ideas? Surly nice ticks the boxes but it’s large... seen anything a bit smaller?
Fork has crown, mid and dropout mounts

Onone Mike bars for £9.99 was too good to take a punt... will need the mrs to test before we say yes!
Jtek dynamo hub, also got a halo rim (same as rear) so will get the wheel sorted this week, using Jtek spokes.
Need to do a stem shuffle and then think about buying some cranks for the front so my mrs can swing a leg on!
Also have a spare edelux light so need to get a rear...
To decide on 2” 26” tyres too!

Bike packing = single/fewer nights away lighter weight kit straps your bike,
Touring = multiple night trips with a lot more load, generally going further afieldOf course this doesn’t really fit into play, there’s always going to be a massive crossover bike packing is just the markets way of making touring cooler

Sturmey do one for about £15 that works ideal!
