Ok, thanks. I see what you mean. The ones on amazon are from an outlet type store in Italy. Good work finding them, I didn’t see them when I looked. And the Ksyrium pro carbon on here sold for £550, were more heavily used than mine, with significant cassette bite marks and they didn’t include tyres.
So, I really think these are still a very good deal, they are in as new condition. I’ll leave these here at £550 for now but as I said I will consider a reasonable offer.
Dave
Edit: just saw the pair of cosmic pro carbon Exalith on here too. Also lovely wheels and a great price. Cosmics are aero but heavier than my Ksyriums, and no tyres included. a different type of wheel really. So depends what you’re looking for I guess!

You’re welcome to make me an offer! I’d be interested to see where you found them new for that price. As far as I could see, more heavily used examples of this wheelset go for around £550 so I think this is a pretty good deal... these ones really are in excellent condition. You’re also very welcome to come and have a look if you’re in London.

For sale:
Mavic Ksyrium Pro Exalith SL Wheelset
700c, clincher, rim brake, Shimano freehub.
Includes Mavic Yksion Pro Powerlink 25mm tyres and original Mavic QRs.
Ex-demo, really excellent condition. They came off a complete bike I bought ex-demo from a shop. I have only ridden them once. Hardly used, there is no visible wear on brake tracks or original tyres as shown in pictures. No damage, rims are perfectly true and hubs are smooth. These aren’t the current model, they are a couple of years old but are genuinely as good as new.
Only selling because I have too many pairs of wheels, these are really lovely. Light, stiff and they look very cool with black braking surface and oversized spokes.
RRP for this wheelset was around £1k. I would like £520 o.n.o. please.
Collection in London NW3 or I can post within UK for £20.
Pictures to follow, please let me know if any questions.
Thanks!
Dave

On my recent wheel purchase from farsports (early November) they arrived exactly 3 weeks after placing the order. Apparently the wheelset was built to order, so there must have been a bit of lead time before they shipped. I also paid the extra for tax. So I would imagine your rims won’t take more than a few days in transit...

I recently bought a pair of farsports wheels with DT Swiss 350 campagnolo hubs, they are very good. Plain matte black clincher rims - 50mm deep 23mm wide. I use them with 23mm tyres in old steel frames so didn’t want to go any wider. Took about 3 weeks from ordering to arriving in London. Seem well built, true and even spoke tension, and they look great. I am very pleased with them!
Edit: also not too heavy - 1500g ish

@GroggyJoe excellent seller, many thanks

Pesky Deda bar sizing - the only make that measures outside to outside rather than centre to centre.
I switched to 38 c-c bars not too long ago and got used to the handling fairly quickly. Also, narrow bars are more aero! I am quite small and skinny though. having said that, the massive track sprinters use tiny bars and they don’t seem to have too many problems steering...

@yetidamo great seller, thanks very much!

I bought this one from @salvage not too long ago. very similar - 531c, same quill seatpost, same paint etc. Model Aneto on top tube, it is absolutely lovely. I rebuilt it with a modern groupset and flat bars, made a great town bike. But your vintage campagnolo is fantastic. Enjoy!

@Thrasher thanks so much! Great to meet you and such a nice project. Respect for doing some serious miles around town in rain with SSMTB + trailer!

Yes it’s such a good frame, very light and really nice to ride. 130mm rear wheel went in very easily - I have built quite a few old frames with new wheels and haven’t had any problems. Sometimes need to gently pull the dropouts apart to pop the wheel in - couple of mm each side is no big deal. I’ve never needed to cold set. Give a shout if you have any problems!
