Sending best wishes @Maj.
I had a stage 3 (fairly bad but could have been worse) cancer a few years ago and had a couple of operations as well as chemo etc. I’m well now and back at work. I’m a hospital doctor (anaesthetist) so I look after people around the time of surgery for cancer as well as all sorts of other things. Please send me a DM if there is anything you think I could help with.
Riding my bike was the single best thing I did to prepare for treatment and to get well afterwards!

Shimano 105 11-speed mechanical rim brake groupset. This came off a new bike, it was test ridden literally just around the block before being taken apart, so good as new. A few small marks from storage but no wear. Chainset and brake callipers are non-series OEM Shimano parts as below. Short cage RD takes 28T cassette (at least). Cassette / chain not included.
Includes the following:
RD-5800 105 rear derailleur - short cage
FD-5800 105 front derailleur
ST-5800 105 shifters
FC-RS500 11-speed chainset 50/34T 170mm
BR-R561 rim brake callipers front & rear£150 o.n.o.
Collection in London NW3 please, I can meet more central or I could possibly deliver within reason - north of the river / inside the M25. Would rather not post for now.
Please get in touch if any questions. Thanks for looking!

If, as you say, the pain isn’t too bad and you’re able to move, walk, cycle etc, you don’t have compartment syndrome - the primary symptom of this is severe pain.
My guess is that the initial injury has damaged a vein in your lower leg, most likely a very tiny, superficial one, causing the impressive bruising. This will almost certainly heal by itself and probably looks a lot more dramatic than it really is.
The main thing I would be be worried about is if the calf swells, or even just continues to feel heavy or tight, then you should get it looked at properly, because if it’s an injury to a deeper vein you might be at risk of DVT (deep vein thrombosis). If left untreated this can become very serious.
However, if the bruising settles (although it is likely to turn some very interesting colours eg. Green / yellow as it develops over the next few days) and you don’t have any other problems, I wouldn’t be too concerned.
Important disclaimer - beware internet advice from strangers! If you’re even slightly worried about anything at all, please please please have someone look at it in person!

I might be interested if @lahdelah doesn’t want this!

I’m looking for one of the modern Alpina track / road forks as shown below - straight 1 1/8in steerer, straight legs, drilled for a brake. Doesn’t need a very long steerer, it’s for a small frame. I will confirm the exact length I need. Good (ish) condition preferred but doesn’t need to be perfect.
Please let me know if you have one you don’t need! Thanks.
