They were almost £100 cheaper supplied and fitted than other garages due to the fact they have a very good relationship with tyre suppliers or so I'm told.

2500 mile round trip down to Italy, what bike would you get if you had a 5k budget? I was down in Umbria/Tuscany and was shocked at how bad the roads are, I will never complain about Wiltshire again.

What fuel do you have access to? With carbs it's recommended not to use E10 as if left in the tank for long periods can cause issues. You can buy an additive to prevent that if you can only get E10

Not an expert but that looks like the gaskets have gone as it looks wet around that area? A carb clean + rebuild is always a good idea!

I have one, can confirm it's a great car. I don't need it as have a wagon for family duties but haven't got around to selling it yet. I use it once/twice a month to goto the garden centre/recycling centre and it always starts up quick.

Although going down the motorway in 5th is annoyingly loud/revvy.

Ceratec grease is a very good point. Conflicting advice online about grease but makes sense. Will add some and give everything a good clean again.

It has a Brembo caliper with 4 small pads, not sure on the official term for it.

Thanks for the details! Insurance is being a nightmare with the CRF300, as my garage is not at my address. It's so much cheaper for me to insure a KTM 300 exc, which makes no sense as that bike is a chav magnet. So no CRF for me at the moment.

Sintered brake pads fitted ~50 miles ago, they have just started to make a constant noise which is really annoying especially around town. Do I need to just get the miles in or potential issue?

Finding it hard to get any time these days but can take the brake calliper off and clean pistons (again). I'd quite like to bleed the brakes too but I read I need to reset the ABS module with an OBD reader (to get totally rid of old fluid) and I CBA.

Really annoying, I found a good CRF300 near me... looking at insurance if I put my garage postcode down it's basically uninsurable. If I put my home address in its normal prices.

Went and sat on a few bikes at the weekend, it's depressing to have a 29 inch inseam. Even with the CRF300's soft suspension I'm still on my tip toes. Think I will need to shave the seat down or source a lower seat.

Looks like you have some interest already! Selling bikes is a hard, long game if you want the price in your head. It's easy to lose a lot of money when you cave in, especially on newer bikes.
