Another vote for a TVP (we have a Trafic LWB) - goes in most places and normal car parks which is great for general use, and the square shape gives good internal volume. It's obviously not going to have space for a sink/cooker etc but we're fine with that, as it's also our (infrequently used) only vehicle.

I have just zip-tied a piece of plastic cut to an appropriate shape underneath the basket to stop spray soaking the bottom of my bag. Reasonably effective even in prolonged downpours, but then the bag is drenched from above anyway.

Styling has gone back to the 80s with the 'D-size battery' look though!

I was told that you can't have decals underneath a clear powder coat as the heat involved basically melts/ruins them. It might be possible to go powder coat > decals > wet lacquer but I'm not sure. I ended up just having a single powder coat and I've not yet applied the decals I got!

To match the colour, if you can find a RAL number that would help the coating place, but they can probably match it near enough or give you a colour chart to compare it to.

Aha thanks, I'm not in a position to start brazing bits, but I could bend, crimp, drill, file, sand and paint! So a tube bender and some bits of tube...

Please could you and @grantdavis28 put up some pics and tips on how you made your own racks...they look great and with anything off the peg you've always got some compromise somewhere.

In 2017 & 2018 my previous employer entered the Travel West competition, which is not exactly what you're after I don't think, but the aim was to incentivise cycling and other green(er than individual cars) methods of commuting. Build up points or kudos or something for every mile travelled, and possibly some vouchers or something for the winner, both company and individual?
