Great! Starting from Rochecorbon, wandering through the vineyards to Vouvray, then going to Reugny passing by Vallée de Cousse, coming back to Vernou and heading to Noizay then Pocé you can find very calm places throughout the countryside, plenty of small roads to avoid big départementales roads. Glad you enjoyed the place :)
Edit: also some almost hidden castles, some rivers, beautiful big properties, etc. -

I live in the exact area you visited, glad you liked it! indeed all cemeteries have a water point to fill containers in order to water plants and flowers.
At some point last summer in places where water was a bit of a concern they closed some water taps in cemeteries to save water, but most of the time they are open. Also for you that travel through France, in almost all cities (even small ones) you can find football fields, and around them near changing rooms there are water points as well in the exterior. Those ones can be closed (cemeteries are more reliable sources), but can be life-savers as well sometimes.

Looking for options for a next build in 650x47B, and hesitating between three tyres:
- panaracer gravelking sk in 650x48B
- Wtb horizon road plus tcs in 650x47B
- Wtb venture venture road plus in 650x47B
They would be used with tubes at the moment, and my riding is mainly road of various condition but still paved (probably 70% of my riding) and light gravel similar to us fire roads (probably 20-25% of my riding) but with occasional paths with bigger stones and debris or very easy singletrack (probably 5-10% of my riding).
I don’t want a tire that would feel to difficult to ride on pavement (say as a mtb tire), but I don’t want to be limited in the routes I am taking by my tires if they are only road-focused. Also, would appreciate if the tire is reasonably puncture resistant.
Today I think my need and my riding might point toward the horizon, but wondering how the venture is overall as it seems more grippy and more durable. Anyone tried one or the other?
Would like to try wtb as I already tried tires from panaracer (albeit another model), unless everyone say go for graveling sk.Cheers!

Just bought a Shimano Sora FC-3550 crankset second hand, that came without any shims and BB.
Ordered the Shimano BB-MT501 but I believe it will come without shims.
My frame has a 68mm wide BB shell, so if I followed correctly what I found onlibe I have to use shims to accomodate. But I am not sure I understood what shims I need, I think I need 2 on drive side and 1 on non-drive side but I don’t know if that is correct nor the thickness needed.
I plan to use the crankset as a 1x, on the outer ring, paired with 9s rear wheel that is TA (if that’s of any help). Can anyone advise on what shims to purchase and how to set them up please?

Looking for options for disc brake rimes ideally below 70€/rim, reasonably cheap and if possible as strong as possible, weight doesn't matter. Specs: 650B, 19mm internal width and 32h.
I quite like the velocity Atlas that I have on my rim brake bikes, but at 130€ per rim it does quite sting.
Stumbled across the Mavic XM 119, which is ultra cheap but seem to fall within specifications. any review on it, or any recommendation on alternatives?

Hey,
Looking for options in Europe for a square taper bottom bracket, with BSC threads and 68mm shell, an ISO square staper and width around 120-122mm.
So far, I seem to find only this option from Specialites TA which seems nice, but rather spendy. Would anyone have a different option in mind?

Hello,
Putting up for sale my 1x crankset:
SunXCD crank arms (165mm)
Specialites TA One Pro 5 vis (38T, NW)Good condition, used as 1x drivetrain without issues ; some marks but square is fine and threads for removal as well. All included with hardware (screws and nuts), and I can include as well a Stronglight JP400 bb (118mm axle) for 68mm bsa frame in good condition.
140€ for the lot (crank arms, hardware, chainring, bb) without shipping cost.
I am based in France, but can post to Europe without any issues.
I think it can work out for the uk as well since I sold calipers to @jontea a while ago after brexit and it came without issues. -
does anyone know where I can get brass barell adjusters, similar to these ones from an European source? as I am based in France, I might get stung by the customs purchasing from the uk. cheers!
