My IF steel Delux was built around a double and 2.4s and fenders. Should be similar.

TBF I never did install fenders on it…

There’s some discussion of whether or not we might use a yoke.

I’d like the chainstay to be around 350mm, it’s how my IF is setup.

And I’d like to believe that there may be some dampening qualities in a longer chainstay?

I’ve had frames set up like this at a past gig, and with modern full length housing didn’t have any issues with shifting TBH.

Bike will be built up with

1. SLX 2x12 kit, with XTR rings (only way to get 38/28).
   
2. Whiskey Milhouse bars
   
3. Cane Creek hellbender headset and BB
   
4. Bike Yoke dropper
   
5. Rene Herse Fleecer Ridge 29x2.2
   
   

And the rest TBD

Ti frame, designed around a 120 travel SID, but will most likely be fitted with a matching Ti fork.

1. Internal routing of rear derailleur and rear brake inside toptube, then inside seatstay.
   
2. Internal routing for drooper and front derailleur inside downtube.
   
3. Clearance for 2.6s
   
4. Chainstay clearance for 38/28 double crankset
   
5. Sliding dropouts for 148 rear
   
   

A few small changes will be:

1. Butted top tube
   
2. 3 hole cage mounts on downtube top and underside
   
3. 31.8 fork legs instead of 28.6

31.8 vs 28.6 for suspension corrected hardtail, what cha'all think? Pros, cons?

I'm thinking the 31.8 might match the tubing of a mtb better (44.5 down tube), and be easier to route the internal hydro and dynamo cables.

Looking for a rigid boost carbon fork w/internal dynamo wiring and a hole thru the crown. Probably with an A2C of around 500.

@Eeyorecore interesting hack that, ive tried swapping record parts to non record parts and often ran into problems with there being small tolerance issues making neither compatible.
Ive tried mostly with the 9speed ti stuff and record 10s

I’ve never had problems with 10 speed Record and Chorus compatibility. There are some issues with compatibility and lower tiered groups.

Around 2008ish when campy was flushing out a lot of 10 speed parts I stuck a Chorus alloy long cage on a Record short cage body, and gutted a left chorus shifter and replaced the brake levers on both with carbon Record blades.

Ran those in conjunction with a Modolo front downtube shifter, some TA triple cranks, XTR triple front derailleur, and IRD 11-32 campy cassette.

Bike nerd heaven.

Running it as a double without the small ring.

Campagnolo 10 speed shifter should be able to shift a XTR m950 front derailleur across a double CTR m952 44/32 crankset right?

Yup.

I had a medium cage Record RD with a crack starting when the limit screws are.

Pulled the cage, ti pivot bolt, ti derailleur hanger bolt, and ti cable fixing bolt and installed them on a short cage Chorus derailleur. Cleaning and regressing every thing else.

Rebuild project.

There's https://frameworkbicycles.com/ in Canada who are in that early Sturdy stage. Clearly amazing engineering, design and manufacture but as of yet not got big enough to charge loads. Their Instagram feed is great, some seriously impressive stuff.
