I can never understand the reaction of this forum to high end kit / expensive bikes.

Sure the OP is unlikely to get his asking price but when broken down some of the prices aren't too far wrong! No one is forcing anyone to buy this bike or spend the money if they don't want to.

It started working on the ride home and was then fine over 24 miles. Think it must be a dodgy connection with the battery for me to get no lights at all. Frustrating as that's the most difficult connection to get to on my Canyon.

Yeah that's what I thought. Weird as it has literally just been sat next to my desk this morning and it was fine then...

My Di2 appears to be completely flat today. It was fine on the ride into work (only took the nice bike as was doing some laps post work). However, it now doesn't shift and no lights come on at all in the junction box.

Is the battery just flat or something more sinister? I thought I'd get some sort of warning that the charge was running out. It was absolutely fine on the ride in this morning.

Yeah no ferry I've ever been on has let me take my bike to my cabin. It's a shame about the Spanish ferries as the policy on any UK-France, UK-Holland Ferry is great for bikes.

Sorry meant the Santander or Bilbao ferries, should have been clearer. I looked last year and remember them being really awkward. Stupidly low number of bike spaces and very difficult to pre book

I think the bike policy on the ferry from San Sebastian is equally as useless as any airline one. From memory they make it really difficult to pre book a bike...

Once you've done it once or twice you get a sense of what quantities work best for you and what feel you're looking for from the dough. I make mine slightly drier than Jim's originally recipe.

The trickiest part is getting the dough into the cast iron / le cruset pot. I use one which can sit upside down on its lid. I find it much easier getting the dough onto the shallow lid than into the deep pan.

Looks good, yeah I reduce the hydration % from his recipe to more like 80%. Allows you to shape the dough easier.

I didn't either. Went to a fitter got fitted, got some drawings, sent them to Waltly with what I wanted in terms of BB, Headtube, Mounts, Tyre Clearances, Axle Standards, Cable Routing etc.

They did the rest...@pjhobs has just done similar and has almost built his new one up

Get a custom Titanium frame with a King Headset and some nice forks for £1k from Waltly or somewhere similar. I love mine

@mikwok is planning on collecting them next week some time so they're sold pending collection and payment. I'll let you know if it falls through.
