Ok, just feeding back for anyone else. Apparently you need a 1.85mm spacer at the bottom if using an 11s MTB cassette on an 11s road hub.

I’ve got a tiny bit of play on the biggest cluster on my XT M8000 cassette but the lock ring is cranked down pretty hard. Is this normal, does it need a spacer at the bottom or something?

Lots of links for fundraising have gone out already, but the Disasters Emergency Committee have finally opened their fundraiser.
DEC is a good one to donate to as they are a bipartisan collection of major UK charities. If you put your money there you know its going to be spent well by disaster professionals, with transparency and closely regulated.

I see what you’re saying but as @revenant. says the Ukrainians can give up and accept Russian rule if they want. The fact is funnily enough they don’t want to be conquered, and women and children are busy making Molotov cocktails in the streets.
If we are talking about stopping bloodshed, for a Russian tank crew about to enter a Ukrainian village - the knowledge that Ukrainian villagers have an anti tank weapon gifted from the UK will be far more effective at stopping them from choosing to enter the town than a few bottles of vodka and matches.. -

I need a 12 speed cassette for my turbo trainer, my bike runs 12spd Chorus so the cassette would need to be compatible.
Can I use any old 12 speed cassette? As its just for a trainer I'm thinking about a cheap shimano MTB cassette or something?

The financial sanctions will do precisely nothing, as discussed previously Putin and the oligarchs are well prepared and insulated.
However funnily enough more powerful IMO is being cut out of international culture and sports that will bite more. Oligarchs won’t notice losses of a few million or an empty house in Chelsea, but they will indeed notice not being able to have a ‘bollyparty’ with their mates at the F1 etc.

Have a look at Ribble, but honestly you’d be hard pressed for significantly better overall value for a practical high quality steel frame at this price range. If you’re that price sensitive, I’d just keep an eye on here and eBay for a good second hand steel condor. They do crop up.
