I don't see house building ever not being an issue when large private firms hoover up plots and control the pace at which houses are built. All this is for the purposes of their long term plans of sustainable profit enlargement and house scarcity price increases. Not making nice efficient houses available.
Also, the longer they hold off the more likely any old planning application gets approved just for " more houses have been built". This is why we end up with 700k studio flats and massive estates with only 12 detached mansions with 7 bedrooms.

Yep. Was just pointing out that the whole thing is on trust and that trust can be well placed or misplaced but just because something is in a manifesto doesn't mean it's good or will be done well (Brexit) and just because something you want isn't in the manifesto doesn't mean you won't get it (BOE rate setting independence) basically the manifestos are worthless and take on trust the party of your choice.
This time round it's not even that complicated, you just vote for whichever party will help ensure a Tory doesn't win in your constituency

Age limits to the lord's and the nations 2nd chamber are interesting.
It could end up being like the US senate and with more power than the lords. It would change how legislation gets scrutinised though.Still waiting to hear more about the rumour of labour planning to stuff the lord's to the gunnels. Maybe that's just based off the age limit thing and refilling seats. Will it be the govt. having power to fill seats at their own choice rather than some sort of democratic system?

Maybe pushing to pay for private school already involved finding the "bit more"?
Some prep schools are 9k a year ish so on the border of affordability for real salaries.
