Hmm, you have quite a climb nearly from your door up to v. busy Crown Point. Then down Gibson's Hill which is a killer on the way back. Also, surprisingly it's not a road but a rutted farm track at the bottom.
Would also avoid Streatham Vale/Greyhound Lane around Streatham Common rail station.
So the first half would be more like this
(Edit: not actually sure if the first bit through Streatham Common is legal/practical - this is more like what I do)

As well as a jacket, if there is chance of poor conditions, I would take:
- armwarmers
- kneewarmers
- thin but warm full finger gloves (apparently some people take plastic disposable ones)
- thin but warm hat/buff.
- shoe covers of some sort, e.g the condom ones or even plastic bags you can put inside your shoes
Put the lot in freezer bags and wrap rubber bands round them to pack them down.
@SeƱor_Bear: I think you are underestimating both how changeable and how serious bad weather can be on a mountain (or have a team car...). Went to Ventoux last year, 23 C variation in a single day (max 34 C, min 11 C). It doesn't take a lot of descending in the cold to really cause problems, and it's not a big deal to carry a few extra items.

From my limited research, Uni (sometimes appears as Uni-Ball) PAINT markers.
I avoided the same company's POSCA markers, assuming that as they are water-based they would be both less toxic and less effective.
I've used to cover up extraneous etched labels on components. Won't survive bike wash detergent or a good scrub though.
There must be a forum consensus!

I have never heard of a 5400 rpm and 7200 rpm drive 'clashing'.
Disks differ in data density, so a faster spinning drive does not necessarily imply faster data transfer. Caching also affects data transfer speed for small files.
I guess it's possible if you're using some kind of naive hardware cloning system that expects the two disks to be identical and just streams data straight from one to another.
But anything via an OS of any kind should just deal with varying read/write speeds. I sometimes clone disks all day over network and it just takes longer with older, slower disks or if network is congested.
