Assuming the frame is brazed using brass, your silver solder has a much lower melting point, so I wouldn't worry too much about damaging the fillets.
It wouldn't hurt to order a second disk mount or just a price of steel plate and practice soldering it to something other than a bicycle frame. Just to get an idea of the type of heat you need to focus into the mount rather than the thin tube.

Is anyone interested in a very low mileage run around:
2007 VW Polo
1.4s Petrol
14,000 milesThis was my wife's grand fathers car. Its basically been used to go to Morrisons and back once a week for 12 years. It was garaged its whole life, washed once a month and serviced yearly.
We have had it for the past year and put around 4000 miles on it.
It drives like new, very tidy all round apart from a scrape on the bumper and slightly curbed alloy wheel. (the silver paint make this look worse, but Granddad obviously tried to hide it from Grandma....)Its quite a nippy little motor, no idea on price.....

Looking good!
Did you reinforce the DT where it meets the horizontal box section? Everything else looks super heavy duty, but to me that looks looks like a potential weak spot... it is the thinnest part of a butted tube too
Thought I would point this out now before you paint, as it would be relatively easy to braze more steel on in its current state.
