Been an independent bike mechanic for over 15 years now. Time was that I could say with confidence that I could service 99% of bikes. No way I can say that now. To tool-up for that would seriously dent my profits for some considerable time and a lot of it would be used very infrequently, if ever.

Got a few things planned for this year.
First is the Plymouth Brick Festival. I was going to exhibit the Cornish engine house there but will suss it out this year with a view to exhibiting next year - with a few detail inclusions into the design.
Second is a trip with my son over to Lego House at Billund.

I reckon their eyesight is so bad that they only know the road is clear when they see you. In other words, once they see a bike 'x' metres away, logic implies the road in front must be clear so they pull out.

I've been living in two houses for the past couple of years and occasionally clothes have to be moved from one to the other. When I find odd socks in one place I take them to the other but it's very rare I ever manage to match them up.

Yep. We just had to replace ours and have found a quiet boil kettle. It’s great.
My partners kettle wasn’t noisy but stayed on boil for way too long, filling the kitchen with steam.
Kettle tech is only marginally more sophisticated than toaster tech which is only marginally more sophisticated than a stick and an open fire.

I work from home, and my business is listed on google. I don’t advertise elsewhere because I’d be inundated with work and it’s time for me to reign it in a bit.
When I moved 3 years ago google made a total pigs ear of updating my info, choosing instead to assume I was a dishonest trader and block me altogether for 6 months (previously mentioned in this thread).
They are at it again. I’m suspended again because my listing info was changed 40 days ago, so they say.
Well, not by me, Mr Google and because I’m completely blocked you won’t tell me what the infringement is and I can do nothing to remedy this. Oh, and BTW, your resolution system is a total shit show of dead-ends and ‘no you can’t do that’s’ and I haven’t a clue if anything I have tried so far is going to elicit a response from you.

Got this email from Trainline. I read it three times over just trying to make an understandable sentence out of their wording or even find a tiny smidge of relevance to anything I have experienced on a train. I resorted to asking my son just what the f**k this has got to do with anything?
Turns out it’s a reference to Spotify - which most of you are prob familiar with - and I have never used.
I use the train rarely, usually only to travel to a distant place which has a totally different stone for me to crawl under. But you prob guessed that too, I expect.
