If you're going for mid-fat 26" (and I think you should) Halo SAS rims are really nice and come in at 30mm internal.

Next semester of engineering school I'm probably going to go in depth with anodizing as an elective subject. Even though the process is electro/chemical the unpredictability almost makes it feel organic in a way. Really interesting stuff.
