Hello there, we need a freelance mechanic part-time over the next couple of weeks.
We have a workshop in the Five Points Brewery warehouse in Hackney, it's a cool space (literally, bring warm clothes if you're interested!) with tunes and beer. You'll need to be confident working on bikes like Bromptons, Dutch things, and your normal Hybrid commute rigs.
Shift dates are likeley to change around, but it looks like it would be about 2 days per week for now. Ideally you'll want to be local to us so you can come in on short notice when there is work to do, and go somewhere warm when there isnt.
DM me if you're interested :)

@mdcc_tester yeah, £100 seems to be the quote i'm getting everywhere. I was kind of hoping someone had small DIY CNC in the garage they'd be willing to put to use.
@orlowskiframes I'll ping you the .STL tonight

Glad I got your attention :)
We're looking to create a regular blog showcasing nice routes and rides in and around London and we need some help with content. This isn’t a full time job or anything, just a simple way to earn some beer cash when you’re out on a ride. We will pay out for each route we end up using and will cite you as the original author.
All we're looking for is a GPS file of the route, a few pics / short videos of nice or notable parts of it and a short 250~500 word description. Then send it our way and we’ll polish and publish it. The only rules are no plagiarising, and the photos must be your own.
Ping me a message if you’re interested and I can send you an example of what we’re looking for and we can take it from there.

Hello hello!
I'm selling off this heavily customised Charge Hob Mixte. The bike was purchased new back in 2013, though the only original parts left are the frame, headset, seatpost and saddle - everything else has been upgraded over time.

Here is the list of parts:
Frame: Charge Hob Mixte SS (Medium)
Forks: Genesis Carbon fiber, resprayed
Front wheel: Halo Aero Track hub & rim
Rear wheel: Halo Track hub & Mavic CXP22 rim
Tires: Schwalbe Durano Dual compound 25c
Stem: Spank 1 Timer
Bars: Answer Pro Taper
Brake Levers: Avid Speed Dial 7
Brake Calipers: Promax/Alongha Calipers (new pads)
Cranks: Race Face Cadence 130bcd
Chainring: Gebhardt GTP 42T
BB: Shimano RS60
Chain: Izumi Track (tough as nails)
Freewheel: Shimano SF-MX30 16T
Pedals: DMR V12The bike is in good condition with the usual scuffs from normal street use. Most of the components have a lot of life left in them, the chain, freewheel and chainring are essentially new.
Sadly, there is one issue though, the cranks have started developing some play that no amount of tightening can sort out. After some diligent investigating I believe that the crank axle spline is damaged/rounded. So although the bike is rideable, you'll want to swap out the cranks at some point
EDIT: Cranks have now been replaced with a set of silver Sturmey 165mm 42T cranks and a brand new sealed BB, so she's all good to go!£220 - collected from the olympic velodrome (London 2012).
could also potentially ship, but that would be on top of the above price. Some more pics for you :)

Hello hello!
I'm selling off this heavily customised Charge Hob Mixte. It's my wife's and she simply does not use it any more since getting a geared bike (I know, I know, the same of it!)
The bike was purchased new back in 2013, though the only original parts left are the frame, headset, seatpost and saddle - everything else has been upgraded over time and well loved.

Here is the list of parts:
Frame: Charge Hob Mixte SS (Medium)
Forks: Genesis Carbon fiber, resprayed
Front wheel: Halo Aero Track hub & rim
Rear wheel: Halo Track hub & Mavic CXP22 rim
Tires: Schwalbe Durano Dual compound 25c

Brake Levers: Avid Speed Dial 7
Brake Calipers: Promax/Alongha Calipers (new pads)
Cranks: Race Face Cadence 130bcd

Freewheel: Shimano SF-MX30 16T
Pedals: DMR V12The bike is in good condition with the usual scuffs from normal street use. Most of the components have a lot of life left in them, the chain, freewheel and chainring are essentially new.
Sadly, there is one issue though, the cranks have started developing some play that no amount of tightening can sort out. After some diligent investigating I believe that the crank axle spline is damaged/rounded. So although the bike is rideable, you'll want to swap out the cranks at some point - hence the low price.
£250 - collected from the olympic velodrome (London 2012).
Some more pics for you :)

Quick gig happening on Thursday 8th of February, 6pm to 9pm, in Shoreditch London.
We're looking for 3-4 bike mechanics to help us stow bikes during the Buzzbike end-of-run party. Simple enough job spinning bars, removing pedals and carefully stacking bikes. Should be a pretty enjoyable job as it will be happening during the party so there will be music, drinks, nibbles, and pay @ £11/hr.
Message me if you are interested!
