Bought this ages ago with a project in mind. That project never happened, and I can't justify buying a frame now just to make use of the groupset.
It's a full OEM groupset, and it's never left the box it came in.
34/50 chainrings
11/28 cassette
172.5 cranksHaven't done a huge amount of digging around on the price of what these go for these days. But noticed that Tiagra seems to go for 260 new. So I'll match that price. 105 for the price of Tiagra.
Collection from E17, but I'll open it up to postage if it hasn't gone within the next couple weeks.

This bike probably has less than 200 miles on it. It has however spent most of its life fighting for space in a garage and as such has a few scrapes to show for it.
It's pretty much the ultimate commuter, tough steel frame, hydraulic brakes, comfortable upright position.
The only reason I'm moving it on is that I also have a Croix de Fer, which shares the same frame design, so it is a bit of an extravagance to keep both...
It does have one small dent on the chainstay, which I have tried to picture.
Looking for £220 collected from walthamstow.

Losing my garage means I can unfortunately no longer afford to hang on to these unfinished projects.
The Marin measures 17.5' c-t, has deore DX which is buttery smooth, and is frankly more pleasure inducing than my road bike. The plan was to turn it into a shopper/ upright townbiek, so I purchased some sweptback bars, and swiftly lost patience when I realised I would have to re cable it for them to fit. It then sat in the garage for a year. The kicker, I threw away the original bars, so it can't really be ridden back.
£40
The shopper. I commuted on this last summer. If you haven't swung your leg over one of these you don't know what fun you are missing out on. Smiles are guarunteed. This could certainly do with a decent service, but, it is rideable. Just don't decend any steep hills ..
£40
Hopefully the prices reflect the urgency with which I would like to be able to reclaim my floor space.
Collection is from E17. With those who can collect the soonest given priority (provided that's within the forum rules?)

Cheers for the info. I have been drying it after every use, and originally feared I might be being a little over zealous, but good to know I was doing the necessary thing. It's a Masamoto VG 10, the blade reads 'Hyper-Molybdenum-Vanadium', which I must admit I'm none the wiser for.
Time to brush up on the whetstone skills. Im used to using the functional and more budget friendly Victorinox offerings, so want to treat this one with a little more respect.

Thanks for the great info on the NC500 RankinJ & Uber_Gruber. I can only do it July/August, as I work in education, so will just have to brave the midges. Considering both of you have suggested that the East coast isn't so spectacular, corroborating the few other reports I have heard, I think I may adapt the route to stick to the west, and possibly include the Isle of Skye.

Ha..! The plan is to wild camp every night, so I suppose I best start mentally preparing myself for the damp. Did you cycle clockwise/anticlockwise? I've just found the interactive map, looks very useful for working out sights of interest. Did you find the route was signposted? Any sections you would avoid or detour to avoid heavy traffic? Thanks!
