If anyone in the east London area is free tomorrow and fancies a terrific afternoon out at a proper football ground, then can I suggest….

Please bring food/donation, or just pay £7 on the door. Should be 300+ crowd, a great atmosphere at a local derby, and it’s all for a good cause. If you see a green Brompton on the terraces, I’ll be nearby. Ta!

How do you get an eBay listing taken down? Someone is selling this - it belonged to @cake and was written off in a crash. The frame is bent. The insurance company flogged it off and now some scrapper has bought it and is flogging it off as rideable. There must be some way to stop it?

What Ed says below, basically. Looking after it is the key. I had a Trek ebike with a Shimano motor, and the battery lasted a year before it failed on me, so it was replaced under warranty. The replacement lasted two years and was still fine when I sold the bike. But generally if used sensibly then I’d expect several years of use.

The issue is that none of them are BS kitemarked, because they’re all bought online and there’s no restrictions on what’s coming in to the country. The idea of a cheap li-ion battery would have been ludicrous even a few years ago, but that’s what we’re getting now, and the reason they’re cheap is because there are zero safety features built into them. A Bosch or Shimano battery will cost £500 while a Chinese one will cost around £150. The chargers you get with cheap bikes & scooters have no cut-outs either, so if the battery fails the charger will keep pumping into it, exacerbating the issue. Cheap li-ion batteries are made from cheap materials, and the cells are badly insulated - eventually the insulation will break down, debris will fall down to the bottom of the cell and short out the next cell, and wahey, it’s thermal runaway time.
Basically you get what you pay for.

I have my booster booked for tomorrow at 10am. I had my 2nd dose of O/AZ back in May and I’m 59 so it’s time. I know of a few people who’ve had the booster and who have reported worse after effects than they had with the two initial doses, oddly enough. I’ve had this bastard cold thingy for a good six weeks or so, so maybe that’ll have some effect too. It’s my day off tomorrow so if I do feel a bit crap I can laze around at home til it passes. Then I just need my flu jab.

This is Little Timmy.
Little Timmy needs a poo, and unless we do anything to help, he's going to shit his pants.
There's only one thing that will stop this. If he gets 100,000,000,000,000 Likes and Shares on Facebook then Little Timmy won't shit his pants. This is because Likes and Shares have miraculous fucking properties.
Please help. Please Like and Share this picture, and help stop Little Timmy from shitting his pants.
97.4592% of people won't Share this picture. If you don't share this picture then Little Timmy will shit his pants and you will go to hell.
Was a great effort. Walthamstow made it free entry if you bought a donation (it’s usually £7) and all the Stow and Woodford players bought donations too. And Dulwich had a collection for Kings hospital, to buy toys for children who will be in the kids unit over Christmas. They raised over £3,000. Awesome.
