it would be probably for playing the occasional game and maybe some archicad/photoshop/rendering stuff...
its maybe overkill , since i have an iMac for those things already,
main idea was to replace my old laptop, is an old one but still i was playing skyrim with no problems on medium settings...and diablo 3 also on medium is ok -

what kind of setup do you have? 1 cog and 2 chainrings? i was wondering about this kinda drivetrain, or even a 3x1, with a triple upfront, all the reading i have found would kinda point to a nono, just to keep a simple 1x7 ou 8 or 9 or whatever would be lighter and have more useable gears while still "cleanner" than the 3x1
what do you thing about it?

thx for the explanation , i am currently doing what @edscoble said, shorter stem and adapting myself , probably does not help that the frame is too big.
did 100k and feeling good, no pain, so i guess thats that! -
guys, can a short stem "ruin" the handling of a road bike?
9cm is not that short but putts the handlebar a bit behind the front hub and when i am turning at low speed after a few degrees it feels heavy and the handlebar and wheel wants to turn on its own somehow (i'm probably not explaining very well)
for the record, before i had a 12cm stem and dont recall this happening, but i was tooooo streched thats why i changed to 9, -
