Peregrine is done. The lever which was broken was off here about a year ago and just sat in a box - so the crack didn't get spotted until it was ready to be built up - so that was another bill.
Will add some more pics later (phone uploading them to google drive as HEIF which the uploader isn't liking) but here's a couple and the initial mood board
Old chalk way in a few weeks with some mates is the first proper trip for it. Got some old revelate bags which should fit from my old sherpa

looking at lightweight 2 person tents, ideally one that would fit in a full frame bag when bikepacking. I am less precious about space and weight when touring with panniers because the rack can take anything really on the top bit. I am 6ft4 so needs to be long.
Someone local to me is selling a Vaude terrahogan 2p for around 150 second hand - that seems decent - 1.8kg, long enough, big enough for 1 person. Doesn't look to have a separate inner and outer though.
Good buy?

And then the peregrine. Nightmare. LBS ordered some velocity cliff hanger rims via BLB, which 2.5 months later still aren't here. Gone for some DCR rims which are now laced up to a pro 5 rear hub and a nice son dynamo front hub.
Was supposed to collect it today but the right hand side lever I had for it from the set is fractured. Not fixable apparently, so need a new 105 11 speed hydraulic/mechanical STI lever (think ST-7025 but not 100% on that). Also the 105 front mech I had didn't work with the chainring size so had to buy a GRX one.

Boring shit utility question. I get really pissed off my when my £20 a month phone bill fixed for 24 months goes up by RPI + 3% in April, especially if the contract was entered into in March. Doesn't seem to happen with broadband each year in my contract. Anyone know why that is?
At uni/houseshare days, used to have cupboards of old routers from switching, anything particularly green to do with old ones - do providers take them back ever? seems wasteful getting s new router every 18-24 months
Cheers
