Some of you may already know my Falcon Track Bike from the CP section. It was advertised as a 1970s track bike but judging from the geometry of the frame and the nervex pro lugs, I soon assumed it was a 60s bike. Diggin a bit deeper, I discovered that it has the early horn-style nervex pro lugs, instead of the newer ones with the fishtail in the center of the headtube lug.
From classic rendezvous:The first Nervex Pro lugs were produced with a vary fine pair of ‘horns’ at the centre-front of the two head lugs. Later on the lugs were changed slightly and the ‘horns’ (left) were replaced by a ‘fishtail’ (right). This newer design was certainly in use by 1955 although the earlier style was still used by some frame makers for some time after, presumably because lugs were often bought in boxes of 50 or more, and these would take time to be used up.
The lugs, the tire clearances and the frame geometry all point in the direction of it being a bike from the (late) 50s. So while I was initially reluctant to post it here, now that I think it might be a bike from the 50s, I think it is justified to post it here.

@pdlouche mmmh, maybe you're right, I should probably rattlecan my 1960s Falcon Track bike in that particular colour and go full match matchy... jk.
In the last few days I realized that I developed a growing desire to build a HHSB but then again I shouldn't be getting any new bikes atm. So what's the next best thing to getting a new bike? Of course - hoarding parts for a hypothetical future build :)
So If I get the wheel, and If I were to sell it I'll post a heads up in this thread!
@young_gun you sir clearly have an unhealthy addiction to plastic wheels. Admit it, you only want it so you have a reason to post more pictures of your feet on the interwebs :D -
I'm afraid I'm not ready to share the link yet... Currently awaiting response from the seller, if I don't get it I'll post it here. I'd keep it yellow if i had a matching Look frame ;) Since I currently don't have use for it, this would be a long term project anyway, so there's a chance that it'll stay yellow or that I'll offer it here if I lose interest in it.

Seems like a bit of an oddball. The frame has track ends but to me it looks more like a road frame that has been converted. The pump peg holder on the innerside of the headtube and the bottle mount bosses point in that direction. The forks also look more like road forks to me, judging from the rake. My (wild) guess would be that it used to be a 80s genuine rossin road frame that has been converted to track ends.
p.s.
Next time, post your frame here: https://www.lfgss.com/conversations/169078/?offset=5150#comment13233954Or open a thread in the current projects section if you plan to keep the forum updated on a project.

Some more general thoughts on the thread. The way I understand it, aesthetics in this thread are not entirely subjective and personal.
This has been discussed numerous times here and I tried to sum it up in one of the earlier discussions. It should be noted that the exercise of determining whether something qualifies as porn or not does indeed involve a subjective component. However, this subjective component should be understood as a margin of discretion which is clearly circumscribed by a common understanding of what constitutes a tasteful bike.
Imho, the harsh criticism is a vital part of this thread. Two years ago, the bikes that I built were more or less anti and lfgss and especially this thread has taught me a lot about how to build and set up a bike properly. From what I understand, the whole point of the thread was to post immaculate bikes that had been built (and photographed) with OCD like attention to detail. Which doesn't mean that those bike are any better than a proper rat or a sweet funcitonal one, it's just a different thread for a different category/style/type of bikes.

I can assure you that it's absolutely not personal :) In fact, it's a nice bike imho, it just doesn't belong here. It's just a rule that you get flamed when you post your own bike here, I just took my turn in doing that, but again it's defo nothing personal!
p.s. maybe I went a bit too far, soz. I was just really surprised to see that somebody who's a member since 9 years posts his own bike in here. In comparison I'm an absolute newbie and I never considered posting my own bike here cause it's a well-known rule, simple as that. Sorry if it came across personal tho...

It sure as hell doesn't belong here with that fugly spacer stack, the gash clearances and pos miche components. Not to mention that the frame itself is far from being pron worthy. I can only assume you're trolling since I find it hard to believe that you don't know that it's frowned upon to post your own bike here especially after 10 years of lfgss membership.
