Operation stuck seat post in underway today. Bike turned upside down and some deep penetration spray has been put into the wish bone mud guard eyelet. I presume there is a hole that runs directly to the seat post through that tube so seemed the best way to get the spray to contact the issue rather than try feeding from the top as it doesn't look like it will go in there.
Fingers crossed it has an effect.

I found the model number of the crank set its FC-A500. I only have the inner ring on it 42t.
I found on the Sheldon Brown site
Model BB Chainline BCD
Exage 500X A500 Double 113 Square 43.5 130 7-speed 1990-92Im guessing the chainline given is for between the 2 chainrings? Or would that be for the big ring?
If so with a 113 would I get 42mm chainline to meet my hub. Would I be working this out correctly??

Cool thanks. It looks like the person who previously used the cranks was running it on the inner ring. I might install the arms on the current bb and measure how far they need to come out to not hit the frame as well to be sure that a 4mm increase from what I have now. I might just end up giving up on them and say they aren't compatible with the hub spacing.

Database left me at a loss. I've inherited a Shimano exage 500 ex crank set as my suginos messangers are dead. The shimanos are 170mm long and doubles I believe. They don't mount on my current bb which is 103mm.
I cant find anything anywhere to tell me the correct bb to swap into the mix to get a 42mm chainline and avoid hitting the chainstay. Can anyone help me? Thanks

I don't know if its just me but does anyone else find the back end of their pomp a little skittish at times? I've noticed it a couple of times recently in the wet when cornering it just feels like its on the verge of sliding out. From under me even at slow speeds.
Could it be a set up or positioning issue?

Ok so I want to try and take my pompetamine off road. Living near the Hadleigh Olympic track now so wanted to adapt it to a more xc style ride. It kind of looks like one now apart from being fixed and brakeless. I need to work out my options for wheels/disc/braking options and max tyre sizing possible. The forks are blb blt forks so no disc option or drilling or nowt. Rims are velocity b43 and hubs are track origin8
Want to do it on the cheapest way really to get it running.

Think I've found the answer. That would be perfect. And a good price. http://www.shedsworld.co.uk/p/Yardmaster_6.5ft_x_3.9ft_%281.98m_x_1.19m%29_Metal_Pent_Store_Shed.htm

Ok here's the situation. We've found a flat. There is no room inside for me to keep my bikes. We do have gated parking and a parking space against a wall. In theory I see no reason why I cant put a small shed, locker thing for storage on it.
Anyone got any suggestions that will fit the bill?
Also has anyone ever used one of these bike tent things? Might be alright as a stop gap?

I've got a ping I cant remedy. Seems like when I hit bumps every so often there is a little ping sound coming out of the seat, seat post it seat tube. Cant figure out which. Seat is held to the post with a two bolt arrangement. seems one bolt it held under higher tension the the other when tightened. Might be this??
I don't wanna die! :
I'm afraid of it
