A bit late to the party but that pista is looking great! Well done! Lo-pro looks exiting too.
If you decide to go with the zeus cranks I have a nice 54t drillium chainring I don't need, it's a road tho.
What do you think of double hed disques for this?
Corima front, disc rear maybe? Then you can sell the Zeus hubs to me ;)

I had no idea it was on leboncoin. I think I paid a fair price for it esp since it came with crankset, bb, headset, stem and handlebars.
So far I have taken the bike apart, cleaned and regreased all bearings, rustproofed the inside with a coat of linseed oil, drilled out the brakehole in the fork, tapped the cranks to take british pedals. Reassembled and fitted wheels, pedals and a longer stem from my prts bin.
Waiting for seatpost, brake, chain and compactbars to arrive and then I should be done. This bike will replace my current beater so its not gonna be a fancy build (but hopefully still nice).

Small update: Cleaned and regreased the pedals.

Found the source of the rattling, the bearing was completly dry and the balls made the sound as the pedal spun around the axel.
Won a 17t and a 19t zeus alu cogs, (notecibly thicker than the 18t steel one I already have)

and a set of zeus chainring bolts.

So now the drivetrain is complete:

So, whats left? Well, I haven't sorted out the wheels yet, lost the bet on a set of Zeus pista hubs to some last second ninja bidder, there is a set on ebay currently with a ridiculous price, made a cheeky offer but I doubt I will get them... going to post a wanted add here aswell.
On a side note this also happend:

Gahh! Both cranksets have french threding and the pedals are BSC! According to Sheldon "Aluminum French cranks are easily rethreaded to 9/16" x 20 TPI." Talked to my lbs in town and they can't do it so I'm thinking about doing it myself. Found these after some quick ebaying:
Not to pricey and IceToolz are decent quality right?

Its possible to solder alu with zinc, apparently its stronger than welding and alot easier. Clean the alu surface, heat it to 400 C to get the zinc flowing, scratch the alu surface with a sharp stainless object (like a sharpend spoke) to break the aluminumoxide and presto! I tried to find a youtube video but failed, only got this article i swedish but you can look at the pictures for reference: http://www.classicmotor.se/artiklar/artiklar/20100212/aluminiumlodning-med-zink

Thank you! :) Your thread has been a massite inspiration although im probably not gonna go full zeus. Haven't thought about new decals but something like this would look ace: http://www.ebay.com/itm/351066102056?_trksid=p2055119.m1438.l2648&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT

Fitted Saddle, seat post, bb, cranks and chainring yesterday.Saddle is a Hurrican, was sold as a "Spanish turbo" so I thought it wold fit the build. Fitting the saddle on the seat post was a lot less fiddly than I expected it to be.

Found a bag of campy chainring bolts in my parts bin, didn't take a picture of it but the crank sit very close to the chainstay, might have to file it down a bit.

Measured the chainline to 43mm, should be fine. -

Thanks alot. It's the one of the last pieces to complete my zeus pista :) Looking back at the ad it's supposedly a Zeus 2000.
