So as a bit of an update on my post above I have ended up with the setup below - Eleaf Istick 40WTC and a Goblin Mini RTA (not the easiest of decks to learn to build on I'm told but it has been OK so far). Very happy with the size and capability of the setup to be honest.
I decided against the Ego One just because I wanted to get building on a proper deck but did buy a Subtank Mini as a back up with it's OCC coils in case I faffed up my first builds but it hasn't seen much use and the Goblin seems to vape so well and is half the size!
Considering letting the Subtank Mini go if anyone is interested? £15 posted (RBA never used, just OCC coils).
Thanks again for the advice posted above!
PS - Rapha essentials case is great as a vaping supplies case!

Depends what and where you are looking for really - Velo House in Tunbridge wells is nice (but pricey). Wild side cycles in Tunbridge wells has also always seemed OK. Tonbridge has Cycle Ops who I think do bike fittings but dont go in there hoping to browse as they will just pounce!
No idea of any others in different areas/towns...

Thanks both - good advice there. (Same person as user55587 - not sure why I was signed in differently in my phone...)
After a bit of research I think I have made a decision - I have ordered an ego one for now as I think the kayfun plus box seems a little steep for my current habit (wasn't too sure about going with a clone first time round). Apparently the new CLR rebuildable heads for the ego one are much better flavour wise than the stock 1 ohm so have some of those on the way too.
This way I think I can upgrade as time and money allows to maybe a 30w mini and a kayfun lite if I feel I need it! I'll let you know how I get on.

We have a retired greyhound - sleeps for 18 to 20 hours a day. I have installed a (massive greyhound sized) dogflap so she can get into a secure part of the garden. We used to have a dog walker take her out twice a week but have reduced this to once a week as she just doesn't need it. We filmed her using stop motion during the day once and she just slept.
Totally depends on the dog but some will be OK...

I have got both and Toupe Pro and Romin Pro. Thought I preferred a flatter saddle so went for the Toupe first but after about a years worth of use it was just painful (for me). Switched to a Romin and have been pain free for six months - much prefer the curvy profile of the Romin that gives a few different riding positions.
That might help you decide, might not... Sounds like it will be a cracking build though!

So, after lurking for many months I have a project of my own and I'm in need of a little advice.
I've got a 2007 Dawes Galaxy just sitting at my parents house. It's in great nick has been with me from Lands End to John 'o Groats and from Geneva to Venice and has sat untouched since the end of summer 2007. It is completely stock apart from the pedals. That was what got me hooked on cycling. I then bought a road bike which I have upgraded and eventually completely replaced since and a Pompino that I used to use to commute in an old job.

Here's the plan:
Strip down all three and build up just the one as a light tourer/do it all bike. This would not only ease space in our tiny shed but also free up space in my cluttered mind. It'll be based around the galaxy frame with probably just low riders and a bar bag type thing up front. The main two questions I have at the moment are these:
- Gearing - It currently has the stock Deore groupset and I would like to go to a 1x setup - Is this feasible (and will it offer any advantage over what's there already) or am I being stupid. Secondly, I had toyed with the idea of moving to a Sram 1x setup (not CX1 but a rival bodge job just to allow me to have a brifter) - is there any advantage to this at all?
- Cosmetics - I have enough bits to build the galaxy up with chromey bits or black ones - I can't work out which would look best on a frame this colour!
Lastly, inspiration is this:

Any input greatly appreciated! - Gearing - It currently has the stock Deore groupset and I would like to go to a 1x setup - Is this feasible (and will it offer any advantage over what's there already) or am I being stupid. Mr B, wicked thread!
I'm torn between between rattlecanning and powder coating my poo brown pomp. Would rather not go through the hassle of sending it off for a powder coat. Interested to know how well the paint on your frame has held up so far?
Did you strip the frame prior to paint or just sand back the original paint?Cheers!

I have a Sony RX100 (Mk1) that i am looking to sell if that is any good? They are currently going on the bay somewhere between £250 and £300 it seems. I would be happy to let it go for £150. It is a few years old, no bumps or scrapes but a few marks here and there. Apparently its great for video too.
The box for it is at my parents house in Norfolk so it would be without the box I am afraid - just camera and charger.
