It's pretty flat. Last time I did it in 16 there was 3500 feet of climbing in the 108 miles. L9ve the way every goes for the full cobbles experience but by sector 4 you are looking for any rideable surface going off the cobbles!
Back this year with my club. Then just to punish myself doing the Paris Marathon the next day. Think that might hurt....

The mrs came back from a client meeting today and told me she had seen a guy on abike with a weird jockey type top on. I showed her the Rapha one and she confirmed it was indeed said (knob) jockey creation. I asked her what she thought of it and what he looked like - a right twat was the response...
Not nice and very pricey.

I trust the integrity of Sky about as far as I could throw Big Dave Brailsford. When will the mainstream press twig that Geert Leinders is the redacted Rabobank doctor and now works for Sky? Actually, Kimmage already ran an article in the Mail didn't he? But Teflon Dave made sure nothing stuck.
He doesn't any more...

Bar tape makes no difference whatsoever IMO. The wrists and forearms will hurt no matter what. We all got pretty nasty headaches going over the cobbles last time, take some tablets beforehand. The tip 're tape on the bottles is bang on. Bottles will be flying everywhere, the first 2 sectors are usually littered with them.
Watch out for MTBikers cutting you up as well, because they can..
I shall be running 27 open pave around 80psi. Same as before. A few of the lighter riders in our club will be running around 65psi.
