So, after c.17,000 miles pounding z1-3 London tarmac I've noticed the cranks on my trusty workbeast are beginning to wobble - I've had them off to discover the socket of the driveside crank is beginning to wear away on the BB taper at an alarming rate. I'm after something along the lines of the following to replace it.
- An ultegra FC-4400 crankset. Or the driveside crank at least.
- Sugino rd2 crankset or other 130bcd 170mm jobbie. Or similar in 165.
- Any single chainring crankset with 44t chainring in good nick. 165 or 170.
No need for a chainring, I have a nearly new 44t 130bcd one I can use. But if it comes with one, I'll take it. Cosmetics/colour not an issue, as long as it doesn't stray too far from silver or black. Budget reflects nonfussiness - the cheaper the better.
A call to the lazy: if it's in your house - in London(or even 'ish') I will come to you. [/smack of desperation]
Muchas grassyarse.
edit: excuse superflously worded title.
- An ultegra FC-4400 crankset. Or the driveside crank at least.

Currently dirtying my mac keyboard with greasy mechanic hands, despairing eyes cast o'er a sea of broken bikes yet not one to take out on the courier circuit tomorrow. So.. anything anyone has going that I can collect by tomorrow evening for Tuesday. Not fussy, as long as it goes. Robustness > cosmetics.
Looking to spend no more than 150 for f&f or 200 for a complete steed, but will go higher for the right bike.
Alternatively, if anyone has a medium Pompino they're looking to shift, I'm in the market for one of those.. with a correspondingly higher budget.
I have decent wheels, cranks, bars, headset and a saddle, so if any of your offerings are lacking in these that isn't a problem. Show me what you've got. Happy to travel within London & the immediate South East to view & collect.
Cheers.

1) Sugino messenger 48t, 130bcd. Bought off ebay as a hobson's choice, had actually been looking for a 44 - one of the right size came up here a couple of days later, so this is surplus to requirements. Previous owner had done about 100 miles on it. £15. Postage + £2.
2) SOLD A Ricoh GR Digital camera. Not a GRD II or III or IV. Bought from Jessops in Watford about five years ago, and it was getting on a bit as a model then. Still awesome. I had been reluctant to let it go, but I just don't use it anymore and would like someone else on a budget to feel the GRD love. (nb: does take colour photos, was just in B&W when I powered it up for the photo)
In good working order, though a couple of points to note:
The LCD display shows some minor 'ghosting' when powered up, so if you were to set the display to show nothing other than the image you'll still see the faint outline of the EV+/- scroller and "remaining images" number in seperate corners. Doesn't bother me, might bother someone else.
There are a few scratches to the casing just above the LCD screen. The attached image shows the extent of the damage there - not serious. Otherwise the cosmetic condition is excellent.
£SOLD, preference to collection/meeting in London, would prefer not to post. Charger included I have some (not all) of the box/manual material, I will dig these out before I let the thing go...
Dibs then PM please. Collection from N15 6 or happy to hand deliver in town or N/E London.

IMO.. £600 is about what you can expect for it on fleabay. I can see one up there with the same spec (i.e. with the beefed up RAM) for £599. Putting it up for that here isn't going to get much of a response.
Try shaving off what you'd be paying to sell it via ebay anyway (i.e. 10-15% for paypal/seller fees) and you might do better.

Having a clearout of some bits I've semi-destroyed in my rookie courier days. Sensible offers considered on the things I've put a price on. Collection from N15 6 eves/weekends, or happy to meet at Manor House/Seven Sisters stations. Sorry, no posting.
1) Timbuk2 classic messenger bag XL size, used for about four months, in the momentary madness inspired custom colour choice of brown/purple/brown. Pretty decent nick, this - a few minor signs of wear i.e. the fabric is starting to scuff where it folds on the bottom from being packed down with the straps, otherwise just the odd light stain that would wash out. Inner waterproof lining is still A+. So if you have a lot of stuff to carry around and don't mind looking like a cadburys dairy milk bar, this is most definitely for you. Comes with padded strap. £40.

2) Scruffy 7005 mtb frame & forks from an EBC Revolution Courier. Has headset, stem, bb, cranks still in situ, CBA/don't have the tools around to take these off. Also still has canti brake thingies on, I can take these off if desired. Will clean the road grit around the BB off before it is sold. No idea on this. £15?

3) Budget 26” front wheel previously used on above bike, albeit not for long. Shimano deore hub with QR skewer, zac rigida rims. Probably saw about two months use on circuit, held up OK. Braking surface used but ok. Comes with Conti sportcontact tyre that has been used for 150-ish miles (flat). True & runs smooth enough. £10.

4) Budget 26” rear wheel, much older than front, came with the bike when I bought it I think. About 10,000 miles use. Shimano 8-speed cassette on grubby but in not too bad a condition, except for the one ring I left it running on when the gear cable snapped and I couldn't be bothered to fix it. Braking surface well used. Er, £5? Or take it with the other wheel.

5) Beater 700c rear wheel. Fixed/free. Some surface rust. Dirty. No apparent braking surface of which to speak. Comes with an old tube and tyre (flat, needs a repair)... £free. Dibs Bifaybump.

A few other 700c beater wheels (need trueing/greasing/some bearings) & knackered 700c tyres can be found in the estate bulk rubbish dump on the corner of Fladbury Road/Moreton Close N15, if anyone local fancies a scavenge.
Dibs & PM please.

Cheers - going to hold out for something 130bcd or 44t for a little longer but otherwise I'll be back to you!
