46:17
I was pushing 52:17 for about 5 months. For general suburban riding it was ok, but on circuit in Central London, with constant stop-starts it came to be horrendous. Also, having friends living the wrong side of Muswell Hill... enough said (I never did get it all the way up.. took to Cranley Gardens & MHR way round). But 30mph+ spinning = fun, can't do it for long on the new gear. -

Up to Stratford then A118 to Gallows Corner, for my money... straight, clear, fast, not overly unpleasant. The stretch of A12 east of Gallows Corner out to Brentwood is dual carriageway, though, and you do get some d-cks driving along there, especially late at night. But it's lit.. and I think there are cameras up now to temper some of the racer tendencies?
Trains from Liv St out to Shenfield finish around 1 if you get lazy ;)

It's there on the satellite view, but Google streetview hasn't caught up yet - a bus lane now surges straight through the 'triangle' here towards Southampton Row, cutting through where the one way sign is.
I came down yesterday morning to find a flourescent helmeted plod stood in the entrance to the bus lane, pointing cyclists off to the left as they approached (and everyone did).. if anyone was blind enough to miss him then they probably need to be off the road! Judging by what has been said here it looks like they've moved on from 'fair warning' to just jumping people, but I haven't seen any again there yet this week.
