I think it's common knowledge that these frames can crack, and mine has :-( Fortunately it's through an original weld and so I think it's repairable. I want to get it done ASAP as I'm not going to ride it and risk more damage.
So, is there anyone you know of in the London / Reading area that could do it ?
Many thanks in advance.

I used to go drinking in Pangbourne as a kid, the place was riddled with caterpillars, you could barely move for the fuckers.
Well the the worst bugs, those cunts at Mountain High, have moved out so it's safe to go back now ;-) But .....
I was in Manchester at the weekend for a stag night; Even I (57) got laid ! I was "best man" anyhow ;-) And, bugger me, it's a great place, the women wear almost nothing, but a smile - hedonistic is about half way there ...... I'm shocked that you find time to even log-on let alone make the huge contribution that you do.

Only whinge is, it's got too many spokes and a gear ratio that would only work for tail-gating M5s on an autobahn ;-)
Now we want to see a split downtube to get the front wheel in a bit tighter ;-) As it appears that the wheelbases keep getting shorter and shorter, this whole thread will finish with a full Campag unicycle with drops and tubs, I can see it now !

One of my old MTB's - image quality matches the period as it was sold many years ago :-(
Trey Y33 full carbon frame with alloy s.arm, and no bearings of any type in-between = lots of wear. Pace RC30 EVO Pro forks, 1st gen Hope discs, billet cranks that were drilled like a shotgun barrel + Middleburn rings, King headset, 1st gen Hope hubs and Mavic 317 Citroen rims. I bought it from the guy who won it in a magazine competition in 1998. It was the first bike with discs or full sus in the Reading area.
PS, I'm loving the Raven, but I've never seen Spinergy wheels with discs before ! I doubt it's PhotoShop, but is it technically sound given the fiberous nature of CF ?

**Countdown on TV today - I kid you not !! **
I just happened to turn on at the right time for this. Personally I prefer Carol Vordeman, but the new girl may have a point ;-) She certainly got the joke and gave a wry smile !

PS, could someone please tell me how to resize this image, PhotoBucket is getting very miserly of late.

Y E S!
cutt off the eyelets please.
have you considered swapping dropouts to track ends for a fixie? That would be heresy on a lovely frame like that - destroy a £100 original paint job for a couple of details. You were joking, weren't you ??
I think black extras would look best if you decide to go aerospoke.

Team quasi-communist state ruled by Arthur Scargill and run by the Socialist Workers Party
Maybe you need to speak to some of the 600k Poles, Lithuanians, Albanians etc who have come to this country and explain to them that they have made a terrible mistake leaving "utopia" for this "filthy capitalist regime" lol

^^do you have any pro tips for getting the bar plugs in neatly without crinkling the tape up and making the ends look shit (what I always do when I try that)?
Plastic type can be softened in warm water. If not then some fairy liquid (50/50 wiv water) will help 'em slide in, then it dries out "et voila".

I would wrap the entire thing in clingfilm, making especially sure your mouth and nostrils are covered.
Brilliant, made me lol; I let these weighty issues drag me down otherwise.
So, all this 'lastic on our "tactical" bags appears to be just a designer fad, and about as much use as tits on a tortoise - typical.

I often start a ride with a jacket on, then the sweating starts, and I want to take it off and strap it to my hydration pack. The pack's got a spiders-web of elastic rope all over it with several anchor points, but can I find a way to SECURELY stash my jacket !? NO ! I must be a retard, but can someone please point me to the info (pics) I need as I'm fed up of riding back to pick my jacket out of the gutter.
This is the H.pack I'm talking about:

I'll gladly accept the title of "The person who asked the dumbest question on LFGSS in 2013" if you can sort this for me.
Thanks for your help, Gren
