I have to dig this up again. how big is the difference really between a 165 and 170mm crank?
I don't ride the track and the things I wonder about are how big is the change from 165 to 170 if everything else stays the same? and does it really increase the chance of touching down in curves because of those 5mm?

nikolai.
i'm not sure if you aware of the prices for krabo, pelizzoli and so on!?
custom frames are not that cheap and only making sense if you really know your perfect measurements.and what do you mean with "true track geometry"? the geometry changed within the last 40 years each year. and there are different kind of track bikes, depending on your event (madison, sprint, time trial).
ride your gangsta with your skinny tires, save your money and think about again in 1 year.
Why would I not have a clue about prices? most of them state their price on their webpages. if YOU have trouble finding them I will gladly point them out to you...
And of course it makes sense to know your "perfect" measurements if you want a complete custom build, but I never said that is what I wanted! With the Low for example I would just pick the size closest to what seems perfect for me. so what is your problem?
And how about you ride your way-to-smal underused carbon machine and think another year before giving unfriendly advice like another internet know-it-all??
damn! I don't understand how you people get all offensive when someone is not of the same opinion. this is a forum for the exchange of people who may like bikes. and some of them know more, and some know less. why make those you just want to know stuff and talk about it look like they are fools?

Waiting for everybody on here to say yes is going to take longer than the lead time on a Low. Because it will never be the sensible option. But if you think yes then go for it. Exactly how many people do you need to tell you no before you change your mind?
I see your point. But I am not trying to be advice-resistant but rather trying to hear different opinions...
I will look into all alternatives and then make up my mind.

I don't car about their self-marketing and being at the front or back of something...
I like their approach to quality and non-Italian craftsmanship. the pelizzolis are nice no doubt, but they don't do it for me...
I actually the look of the mash frames, and if I get something a tad rarer with less hype but of equal quality and maybe more of a true track geo that would be great!
but is the quality worth the money or lead-time? that is my question...

Hey,
I have to admit I find their frames visually appealing and would love to place an order before they bump up the prices middle of June. especially since I missed out on that one sale up in here...
But! Do I get equal quality and look cheaper within europe? (probably yes?!?) but considering the rarity as something positive, is the quality up to par with the price?
I am just trying to justify buying a frame from them...

I'd be in for a Ted fork as well...
