Thanks, for the input, managed to get some Shimano deep drop calipers.39-57mm, these were a perfect fit. Cost 30GBP from Putney cycles.

Another newbie query, what size are standard flat bars? Ideally, they would need to bolt into a 1' stem, but be 22.2mm at the ends for my levers!

Looking for long reach calipers as frame designed for 27' but replaced with 700c, as current calipers don't line up the blocks.

Also would like some levers that are fitted to the straight part of drops.

Any suggestions on what type to get and where to get them!

Sorry if this is an obvious question but would a standard BMX freewheel fit on to a 700c wheel with a freewheel for a threaded hub?

The existing wheel has a thread on freewheel, Could this be converted to SS?

Would a BMX freewheel like this http://www.jensonusa.com/store/product/CS409C02-Odyssey+Bmx+Freewheel.aspx be able to thread onto that type of wheel?

OK recently bought an old racer to get around on, the back wheel is severely buckled and now looking for a replacement.

Then I considered going singlespeed instead. The wheel is 700 and the dropouts are 126mm, would I need to get a wheel built specially or can I buy one off the shelf?
