The Stems are from an old Raleigh and an Apollo, so I think they are 25.4 Clamp.
I'll have a look at the hubs. - they were stock on Specialized Langster ~ 2007. I'd been using them on a Raleigh 10 speed conversion. but haven't used them in about 2 years. So can't remember. They've just been sitting around gathering dust.

what if they tell you that the wheel needs rebuilding?
will you then post and say something about them?
until you visit a shop that gives you the answer you want?jesus. cynical? - I'm not bad-mouthing anyone. I'm just trying to verify that I was receiving reliable information.
and if you must know Bike Yard East over email have stated:
Three spokes may suggest that the whole wheel is fatigued and may need replacing. But, let's see it. It may be salvagable.
which somewhat backs up London Fields Cycles - so clearly that may be the only feasible approach

I think I've been riding it around a bit with the broken spokes. but I dont' think its that far out of wack.
And well he didn't even look at the wheel. I had it with me but he didn't even take it off me to glance at it. just said:
"how Many are broken", "Oh well 3 , thats going to need a complete rebuild"..."the others will have ...blah blah"

I"ve just obtained an old Raleigh 3sp and after a few days of riding around one of the Crank Arms has become slightly loose. you can just feel the movement as the crank arm swings over.
So how can I tighten them up? do I need to take it in somewhere with a Cotter Press? Can I just wack it in a bit with a hammer and tighten up the nut?
Do I need to remove it completely and File it smooth and stick it back in?
Whats going to be the easiest way to fix it up?

that copenhagen handlebar / basket looks a bit dubious.. I just can't see the Handlebar clamp holding up to the torque of a large load.
I wouldn' t buy one.
I much prefer the front Axle / Front Brake mounted Porteur racks. - I think you'd be better off sourcing them. All the weight is transfered directly to the front axle which seems a better idea than the handlebar clamp.

100 quid for a front rack? I'm in paris, I'll keep an eye out for a good price. I paid 40€, fitted.
Good price for web shipping, that is...
well they had one in BHV or there is a bike shop that overlooks Canal Saint Martin that has 3 different ones. all for around 30Euro. (one of which is the same as that in BHV but it was quite heavy - built with thick solid metal rod rather than tubing.
-
The department Store BHV just off rue de Rivoli has an attahced BHV Velo or BHV Bicycle Shop that had one of the Porteur Style Front Racks. for £29.
They have an online store but I dont' really know what to serach for
http://www.bhv.fr/location in Paris.
Easilest would be to ask a freind or someone in Paris to post one.

Just went to Paris for the weekend and jesus there were loads of front racks around on bikes over there. Took a bunch of photos of different ones that I'll post later.
After eventually finding a Bike shop on Canal Saint Martin i got a small low mounting 'porteur' ish rack for 27 Euro. Hopefully it will fit on the bike. Haven't tried it yet.
So if you are really after a Front Rack i'd recommend trying Paris.

I presume you coudl quite easily mount a bx like that on a basket support.
