my old iphone is up for grabs. unlocked by O2.
it's a 3G 8gb. protected by various stickers through out its life and have replaced the glass myself. the vibrate/sound off button is a bit funny sometimes (common fault apparently). everything else is fine...cant remember what OS ive got on it but i was regularly updating it up until June '11. would be great as a beater ;p
£60

one of the homes i saw in last year's open house is an old water tank. that's it on top of the building. i thought they did a really good job with it. a lot bigger than a container.

What games make that happen? Angry birds Rio?
happens on words with friends for me. hot to touch right next to the rear camera. ive read this is where the processor is.
another thing, ive had the phone freeze on me a couple of times. screen goes blank, like it's off. i press the buttons and i get nothing. can only restart it by physically taking the battery off. happened a couple of times.
despite this, im still happy with my galaxy s2...seems a massive jump from my old iphone.

...Galaxy SII feels like a flimsy, flexy piece of shit in your hand. I dropped my Sensation from chest height onto concrete within an hour of opening the fucking box like a twat and am happy to report it's nails.
after years on the iphone GS2 does look and feel flimsy. Yet to drop it but it is a lot lighter than every other phone out there so I'm guessing it won't go down as hard.
impressed with it so far.

sidi zeta road shoes. silver colour. size 44 (im normally size 43euro/10uk/10.5us for reference). used with a bit of scruff on the side due to sliding on ice over three years ago. it's aesthetic as ive had no issues in over three years of use / '000's of kms. ive included a pic of heel (replaceable at £5/pair) to give you an idea on it's wear. id be happy to use this for another 2-4 more yrs but wife got me a brand new pair. £30 SOLD
rudy project ekynox. titanium colour. comes with smoke and yellow lense. this is not the smaller, later sx version. still plenty of the sx ones but dunno if these are still available. this is tad big on my face but they are pretty fuckin funky. guaranteed to make you go fast. great in wet conditions too £30
crumpler donny frank messenger bag. well used. but perfectly fine and have few years left in it. reflective trimmings, 'third leg'...get that fixeh look and get a messenger bag. NOW £15 SOLD

my gp refused to sign the standard medical certificate form. "...as an NHC practice, they dont sign such things...blah blah blah...how is he suppose to know if im fit or not...looking at my medical records does not give the overall piccture...blah blah blah." for him to sign a form (their own form and costs £15), he'll have to do a fitness test first. of course, because it's not a standard NHS treatment, it'll cost £60. felt a bit ambushed and got out of there as soon as
anyone know if the orgs still accept british racing license as an alternative?

hats off to you, cliveo! well done. 280miles. bet routes were anything but gentle.
i did http://www.bikemap.net/route/998604 on monday. planned on doing the legs of steel route (would've been 150+kms) but somewhere along the route, i lost the will to continue...headed straight home from peaslake.
dunno if it's the wind gusts, burnout or my shty sleep patterns but, apart from the very casual ride to windsor, it was a pretty shity (riding) weekend.

we did this last saturday. pretty good route. bit draining constantly going up and down countless hills (much more so if your going fixed...some long descents there!). climbs aren't that steep but there were some long drags.
watch out for huge potholes in and out of great missenden. oh and we followed the route from that website, but there's an off road section towards the end..wtf!?! it was proper mtb dual track, rocky and rutted. would be tricky if it's still wet when you go through it.
good luck!

What about one of these?
ive got one. the last model with non-curvy rear triangle. it's a pretty good bike. at its name suggest, it is quite light. it's not that exotic tho. they actually go pretty cheap on ebay. tried to sell mine but despite it being in good condition and having good components, it didnt get much interest.

how much engineering goes into this? is it trial and error or do they go through proper calcs on the design?
im pretty sure that everything that comes out of mass produced factories are over engineered but as you're dictating them to build you one with a specific thinner tubeset, how would you know if you're getting close to its structural limit?
