Personally I think we're in an ongoing historically wet period - recently even doing S UK bridleways they're just rivers.
There's still a lot of snow cover up north and their snowmelts make ford crossings pretty high, if you add melting rains onto that you could be stuck/wading and cold.I think it's a bit sketchy at the moment despite wanting to also make the most of pre-midge season - and will probably opt for the inner hebs although doubt you have time for that

I have my Trek 1120 adv rigid fork gathering dust, not sure if you need a lot of steerer tube - could provide it/its rack on indefinite lease for postage if you don't mind me calling it back one rainy day? (likely a few years till then if at all)

Not got direct experience of that part, I went from Flensburg -> Als -> Fyn -> Copenhagen
But I'd check the Shelter app now to give you an idea of what's available - they have quite a few free wild camping spots with pretty good and secluded wooden shelters that you could peg your route aroundAs I recall the Rostock ferry isn't too cheap for passengers either? Rugen and ferry to Bornholm/Trelleborg is another option

Sure - well here's some ideas that (Disclaimer) I'm yet to do myself
https://www.komoot.com/tour/1478470905 - my variant S London start of a RWGPS route that @skinny posted on IG to Brighton

https://www.komoot.com/tour/1478437645All except the Brighton one I bookended with train stations with early connections to minimise the time schlepping out of London (and because I'm unfit) - you could copy and extend them with a london start

Thanks, had a look at it and whilst it's promising of the council, it has a cabin limiting the cargo space
Should have put some more details - would be transporting 2x folded trellis tables and a couple 60-80L pots plus some tea urns, ideally in one go (although I could cargo backpack some of that) hence something omnium style would be ideal

Any folks here in South/East London got a small/medium cargo bike I could borrow for tomorrow (Sunday) evening?
Plan is to help Refugee Community Kitchen move stuff around from prep to distribution in Brixton
Would triple lock your bike if stored outside at any point and return it the same evening, can offer my own bike up as deposit

I cheated and went Copenhagen - Malmo - Goteborg by train, but cycling outside of each town
(to Amager, Lund and Kullaberg/Ockero respectively)
I found that a really great way to maximise time and squeeze in highlights, plus from Goteborg megabussed to Oslo for a convenient flight back (again ft peri-Oslo gravel excursions) -

I'm coming from 50-53cm bikes as a 5"6 guy - put in my hardtail vs gravel mode (note strapped on a bag in front of the handlebar roll)
So for the handlebars - easy option is a burrito bag, a better option is to put on TT bars and a restrap holster or equivalent, and if sticking to Rando style bags I'd personally run a Pelago basket and 3rd party basket bag
I'd add a top tube bag also, long version if you dont need the stepover clearance from coming off the saddle too often
Adding to the cockpit, bigggg dual stem bags (the MVP of bags)If you're getting saddlebag rub - I'd prioritise a rear rack and run a top dry bag plus side panniers - it'll eliminate rub but with the small frame size you'll still get limitations on how much you can fit toploaded, so even consider a splurge for a Tailfin if you can
On the current bag though, I think there's aftermarket saddle rail cages that hold 2x bidonsAs for a custom frame bag, depends how long you aim to keep the frame going for. If a good 5000km plus then personally yeah I'd bite the bullet - but maybe see if you can order a whole load of off-the-peg versions from Apidura, Salsa, etc and see if any ends up fitting well enough?
final rogue idea - looks like you could strap a 1.7L tailfin down tube pack... on the front of your seatpost
