Shadow is actually just shimanos name for their slimmer, less sticky out mechs, intended to get hit and damaged less than previous ones.
Shadow + means it has a clutch.
You could just get a M6000 mech, has a clutch and medium cage will clear 42t and they are cheap!
There’s also 10spd chain on that website for 13 quid. Then you just need an 11-42 cassette. You can get all that for less than a £100 and you don’t have to get a new shifter.

It really doesn’t matter, space it to whatever hub you currently have or whichever you want to buy.
Edit: I see you were actually asking what hub to buy, not what to space it to. You’ll have an easier time getting the 130 hub in the space than the 135, so you if don’t want to re-space the dropouts, go for that. Just check the hub is central in relation to the seat and chain stays when you tighten it up.
And maybe check the alignment of the frame anyway, it may have taken a knock on one side which has taken it from 135 to 131

Yes I meant the lower rail.
Hmm interesting, that’s a good idea. So that makes the position the tabs pivot on higher?
@Chaley Can’t see how you have it mounted to fork but you can use those little triangles with multiple holes in it to get the position different. Or any other bit of steel two holes in that gets it to sit lower.

I have ortlieb mini panniers and they really don’t fit nice on the pizza rack. I guess the distance between the clips at the top and the securing tabs is shorter than full size panniers and it takes a bit of effort to squeeze them in and they often pop out. Something to consider if you want to use mini panniers.
I think a disclaimer needs adding to this thread that it is not a generic frame building thread haha.
@Biggles567 is very courteous about it though
